Chapter 3

What exactly does the formula do?

Fiona wakes up, confused (modified forget/psyche/continue blend)

The pill changes your body from a reasonably fit—if somewhat unimpressive—35 year old man to that of a strikingly beautiful young woman. Your sandy brown hair grows long and darkens to a luxurious curtain of chocolate silk. You're several inches shorter and slender of frame with taut, toned, feminine muscles. As with all X-Change results, your breasts and ass feature prominently in your figure but not so dramatically as most.

This particular blend of X-Change wipes away your identity as William, replacing it entirely with that of Fiona who has always been a woman and has no memory of taking any X-Change at all. Access to other memories are hit-and-miss for you as Fiona, and so the process is very disorienting.

You open your eyes on the couch and sit up, feeling very strange. You're startled to realize you blacked out and quickly check yourself for injury. As your hands roam your body you discover you're dressed in a horribly ill-fitting men's t-shirt and a pair of worn blue jeans so large they'd fall right off your hips if you stood up.

"...the hell?"

You stand, grasping the front of your oversize jeans with one hand in an instinctive attempt at modesty before remembering that you do, in fact, live alone and so there's no need for that. The pants fall to the floor with a soft thud and you step out of them, already peeling the unfamiliar t-shirt off over your head to toss it aside. Discovering that you are now wearing boxers and no bra is another awkwardly inexplicable mystery.

The crumpled clothes look out of place in your immaculately tidy living room. The whole apartment is very neat. Almost annoyingly so. Where did you find the energy to organize everything so carefully? A little mess never hurt anyone and feels more appropriate to your carefree personality anyway. As you roam the main room of your apartment, you can't shake the bizarre feeling that it's only half familiar. This is definitely your home, and yet it definitely isn't. Nothing seems quite right.

On the dining room table is an empty glass of water and an envelope. "READ ME" is written in large letters across the front.

"Oh dear. Where did this come from?" You turn the envelope over to read the letter inside.

What's in the letter?
