Pick a girl and follow

Anna's eyes go wide as a long, lean black girl suddenly bolts past her and her sister.

Anna notices the slim ebony beauty is heading in a direction hardly any of the girls have chosen. What does she know that we don't? Intrigued Anna decides to follow. To get Eve's attention she yanks hard on her hand. "Let's follow that girl," Anna commands while pointing at the athletic beauty with her free hand. Eve nods in silent affirmation as the two sisters hasten their pace.

The Ebony athlete ignored the first buildings, passing them by without so much as a sideways glance. She must think the early buildings are traps. Smart girl. Anna thinks with a smile of appreciation forming on her face. After what felt like they had been running for forever Eve and Anna began having a hard time keeping up with the pace set by their mark. Screeching from a hidden location a loud speaker announced that the hour was up, and the hunters were being released. That coupled with the fact that a high pitched scream sounded through the woods caused Anna and Eve to redouble their efforts. Just when Anna thought her lungs would burst the black woman came to a halt. What's she looking for? The tall woman scanned the distance before catching a glimpse of her prey. It's a tree! She's going to climb a tree. At least knowing where she is in the canopy, we'll be able to follow her without running our guts out. I couldn't take much more dashing through this undergrowth.

Without thinking, Anna came to a stop. Eve, unprepared for this turn of events, ran headlong over her sister. Both of them tumble to the ground in a heap. Anna looked up and saw that the black girl must have heard them. She had laid herself flat against a large branch and was looking around for the source of the noise. Anna instinctively clasped her hand over Eve's mouth to muffle any sound. At that moment, the pale redhead burst through the undergrowth. Obviously, the scream had spooked her. Luckily, the redhead didn't dawdle long. Apparently, something in the distance had caught her attention.

The ebony beauty, apparently satisfied she had discovered the source of the commotion, resumed her climb.

Anna pointed up at the black woman and made a hand motion to signal that she and Eve would now cautiously follow the her from the forest floor. Ducking low while clutching Eve's hand Anna began to follow the rustling branches stealthily.

Anna heard a faint sound ahead. She motions Eve to stop. Then appearing directly in their path is one of the hunters. He is a fit man of apparent African descent. Anna notices that he is methodically checking the area. Slowly but surely he is making his way toward their hiding spot. Shit! Anna thinks trying to decide on her next course of action. I can't let this man have my sister but how do I keep him from her. Also, I'm about to lose the black girls trail. Shit Shit Shit!

Suddenly Anna realizes what her only course of action is.
