Off to Gerlangen … but go past Murt’s place first.

As you are driving out of Launsdorf, you start thinking about the next step in your journey. Gerlangen is still a ways off. If you head there directly, you will need to camp out in the open. Perhaps it would be safest to first head to the mining village of Slurry. At the very least you’ll be able to spend the night over there.

With you so deep in thought, you somehow manage to make an absent minded turn and start heading in the direction of Murt’s house.

At the very least you’ll have left behind this village with its damn vampire. You do feel bad for these people and would love to have her vanquished, especially after she fed on you. But vampires are no easy targets and paladin’s to the Burning Rose are trained to hunt daemons, not the undead. A vampire hunter would be better equipped the you.

When you reach Murt’s house, you get off the cart, still deep in thought, and head inside.

Besides, daemons from the abbey will likely be at Launsdorf in a few days. That means Keyla won’t have enough time to escape. When the army from Gerlangen is mobilized, they will likely secure Slurry first, then head to Launsdorf and cleanse it from the daemon taint. Then they will find Keyla, who presumably will have been caught by the daemons and been made a sexslave. That way two evils will be defeated in one fell swoop.

When you get back to your senses, you realize that you are somehow back in the room where Keyla drank your blood. How did you get here? Just a moment ago you were driving a cart away from Launsdorf.

“Sabine, so wonderful of you to return so quickly.” You hear a familiar voice say.
You turn around and see Keyla. She is wearing different clothes now. Long pants, long sleeve vest, high boots, gloves. She is even wearing a cloak.
“I assume you’ve got the cart, right?”

You want to tell her she can shove the cart where the sun doesn’t shine. Hang on, she’s a vampire … where the moon never shines.
But all you end up saying is “I have.”

“Good girl.” Keyla replies.
She comes to stand in front of you and looks you in the eyes. Keyla’s eyes change to a red color and she says “Help me get my coffin into that cart.”
Your vision blurs and softly repeat “… into the cart.”
When the vampires’s eyes turn back to blue, she puts on a black cowl. A thin piece of fabric that covers her entire face, similar to a mask, and throws up her cloak’s hood. The way she is looks, it appears like there is an empty place where her head is supposed to be.
She helps you lift the coffin and carry it outside. With her clothes preventing the rays of the sun from touching her body, she is capable of stepping outside and assists you loading the cargo into the cart. For having her eyes covered by a cowl, she seems to be able to see a lot.
Once that’s done, you and Keyla head back into the house.

Keyla removes her cowl for a moment and looks at you again with those red eyes of hers.
“Carry me away from Launsdorf, to a safe place. Make certain nothing happens to my coffin and prefent anyone from opening it for as long as the sun is up.”
You repeat “Keep safe.” With the same glazed expression as before.
Then Keyla puts the cowl back on, and heads with you outside again.

Keyla takes place on the cart and crawls into her coffin. When the lid is down, she closes it with a lock from the inside.
You get on Aegis and get him to start walking. When you wake up from your reverie, you are heading out of the village. Your journey continues.
