Nothing

Upon pushing the button, nothing happened. She didn't even hear it ring inside. Haley tried knocking. Still nothing happened.
"Oh God," sighed Haley adjusting the blanket wrapped around her waist. "Please let someone be home."
She knocked louder and gave it a few seconds before sighing in frustration.
