“Hey there, beautiful,” a familiar voice boomed over the thumping bass.

Brad froze, her hand still clutched around her car keys. She looked up, and her heart dropped straight into her stomach.

Standing just across the crowded living room by the entryway was Mia. She was talking frantically, her arm outstretched, pointing a straight finger right at Brad. Standing beside her was Marco—Mia’s older brother, a towering, broad-shouldered senior built like a linebacker. Brad watched in horror as Mia whispered something urgent into Marco’s ear, giving Brad one last sharp glare before turning and disappearing into the hallway.

Before Brad could make a break for the front door, Marco turned, his dark eyes locking onto her. A slow, hungry grin spread across his face as he sauntered over, completely cutting off her exit.

"Well, hello," Marco purred, closing the distance and leaning against the doorframe to block the threshold. He ran an appreciative look down Brad's transformed body, his eyes lingering on her curves with zero subtlety. "Mia pointed you out and said I should come check you out, but damn... she didn't mention you'd be the hottest girl in the house tonight."

Brad’s pulse raced. The lingering warmth of the Compliant pill flared up at Marco’s low, commanding tone, sending a flush straight to her cheeks. Her brain screamed at her to push past him and run to her car, but her mouth felt soft, her throat tightening as the pill urged her to be agreeable to the handsome stud in front of her.

"I... I was just leaving," Brad managed to say, her voice coming out as a breathless, feminine squeak.

Marco chuckled, stepping an inch closer until Brad could feel the heat radiating off him. "Leaving already? The party's just getting good, gorgeous. I'm Marco. Why don't you stick around for a bit? I can think of a dozen better things for us to do than having you walk out that door." He reached out, his fingers lightly trailing down her arm, making Brad shiver from head to toe.
