Chapter 18 by drek drek

Get ready for sunday?

Michelle & Madeleine

The rest of the saturday was completely eventless. I lazed around watching YouTube. Hey, even a master manipulator needs a day off. And things were currently on correct course. Apparently Gretchen hadn't called the cops yet, which was nice. Should I have been tracking her weekend activities? Maybe, but maybe it was just better to let her simmer this weekend. I'd pick it up on monday. I don't think there was a move she could make.

Unless she escaped. Or quit. Then the video would hold no power over her.

Would she? The realisation hit me like a cold wave. She had a top-paying job in a famous magazine, but... she was also being humiliated regularly by her most hated employee. Would that tip the scales? ...Maybe it would, eventually, but it probably wouldn't be an issue after her points went up even more. After that she would make less and less independent decisions. So let's forget that worry for now. Time to click that funny YouTube video back on.

It was sunday evening. I stood outside their door.

No need to get emotional about this, Jack. Life had handed me a trump card. Time to push away the hurt and have fun. Pure, unadulterated fun. And if not tonight, eventually.

I rang their doorbell. It didn't take long for the door to open up.

There they were. The lesbian couple. Michelle & Madeleine. The two who had completely ripped my heart out of my chest and spit on it.

"Welcome, Jack. Come in."

"Hi Michelle. Hi... Madeleine."

"...Hi, Jack."

She looked as cute as she ever did. Madeleine Jackson.

My friend since elementary school. We grew up together, talked about everything, and even kept on being friends into our adulthood. And yes, of course I had a crush on her forever. However, I was put permanently into the Friend Zone when she politely rejected me in seventh grade. I never made another attempt. The first one was humiliating enough.

"Why are you still standing there? Come in already. We won't kill you.", Michelle said.

Could I get written guarantees on that?

Carefully, I took a small step inside. I looked inside. Very nice furnishings. Very expensive.

"Lovely house."

"Thanks". I guess this was extremely awkward for Madeleine too.

"We can start eating immediately. Maddy here made her world famous tofu quiche!"

"Oh it's not that special..."

"Oh stop being so modest, Maddy. Everybody loves it." Michelle said and gave a small kiss on her cheek. Michelle certainly found none of this awkward.

Their relationship was probably very fitting, she had someone she could boss around again. Madeleine wasn't a dominating personality. Her number was only -10.

So there we were. Eating that tofu quiche in silence. Michelle had asked about my job couple of times, and I had asked about theirs, but that's about it. It was super obvious that we needed to talk about the elephant on the table, but seems like nobody wanted to start that.

Fine. Fuck it. The silence was becoming more awful then not talking about it.

"Okay. Let me just say this. I felt really really awful for many months after what you two did to me. It was, in fact, the worst months of my life." I took a long hard look at Madeleine, and she just looked down. "What did I do wrong? Why did I deserve that?"

Michelle sighed. "You did nothing wrong Jack. Sure our relationship had problems, but that's because I didn't realize I was a lesbian. And I fell in love. Completely in love. All good sense left my mind. So there. I'm sorry. But that's all there is."

Madeleine stayed quiet. It was getting weird. "Madeleine? What about you? This is the first time we've talked in a year. Why haven't you contacted me?"

Madeleine seemed to have trouble finding words. Michelle stood up.

"Looks like you two maybe have more stuff to talk about. I'll be in the kitchen."

And she left. Then it was just me and Madeleine.

It took a minute for her to find some words.

"I'm sorry, Jack. I love her. I loved her the first moment I saw her. If I had to betray our friendship... I had ****, Jack."

"So you just stole my wife from me?"

"Yes, Jack. I did. But she wouldn't have been happy in your sham marriage. So if you want to call me selfish, you can."

"You're selfish, Madeleine."

"No, you were. You would have kept her tied to you even though she couldn't truly be happy."

"Answer me honestly, Madeleine. Did you one hundred percent know she was gay when you slept with her?"

She didn't answer me immediately.

"No." (MADELEINE: +3SP) (-7SP) I guess she had no reason to lie about that.

"Some friend you are. You... bitch."

Oops.

Her lower lip started quivering. And pretty soon she was balling her eyes out. She was always pretty fragile, but, come on. She was completely at fault here.

Michelle rushed in when she heard her crying.

"Woah woah! Time out! Did you make my Maddy cry? Oh God Jack, you're always going to be an asshole, aren't you? Come here, baby"

Madeleine hugged Michelle and kept sobbing.

"We're going to the kitchen, and when we come back, you better be ready with an apology, alright? Come here Maddy baby".

Michelle lead Madeleine to the kitchen, and I was left sitting there wondering if there was any actual justice in the universe. I was the bad guy? ME? My blood started boiling. There were stuff that I wanted do, stuff... But how do I get more points out of them fast?

Oh yeah. I should probably check the app. I always forgot to do that, there could be useful traits unlocked by now.

And by God, there was. On both of them. And not only that, they both had the same trait.

-BETRAYED-

ROUTE A - JUSTICE

-JUDGE, JURY & EXECUTIONER-

The subject has at one point betrayed the user. The user can therefore give one (1) punishment of his own choosing to the subject. The subject will accept this punishment, no matter how harsh or perverse it is. If they feel the punishment is worse than the crime, they will still obey but be unhappy about it. The punishment can't last longer than 24 hours, at which point the punishment will be considered fulfilled. NO SUBMISSION POINTS WILL BE GAINED DURING THE PUNISHMENT.

ROUTE B - EMPATHY

-I'M SO SORRY BABY-

The subject has at one point betrayed the user. The user can now endlessly guilt trip the subject about this. The subject will then feel really bad about their betrayal, and is willing to go almost to any lengths to make it up to the user. There are of course reasonable limits to those lengths, correlating to the subject's current submission score. The subject will never feel that they have adequately made up for their crime, and the user can always remind them of the fact.

Well well. These ones sounded GOOD.

Which ones?
