Lunch time talk

“How did you end up in the field of cum addiction research?” you asked the doctor before taking another bite out of your sandwich. She took a sip of coffee, probably her 4th cup of the day, and gave an almost indifferent shrug before answering.

“I was the expert in metahuman biology,” she said matter-of-factly. “Especially with my work in studying the Flash’s metabolism. I got called in to assess a few metahuman addiction patients at Iron Heights. Next thing I knew I had half a dozen case studies from all over the country under my belt. Then they called me after Diana’s diagnosis.”

Your eyebrows rose at her work history. It seemed like Dr. McGee had worked exclusively on metahuman cases, and her mention of criminal patients at Iron Heights Penitentiary had your imagination running. Which supervillains were affected? “What about you?” she asked, now spinning a spotlight onto your agendas. “How did you fall into this… line of work?”

“I was in fertility research,” you explained. “Then this whole thing started and there was a need for additional manpower… so to speak. I just wanted to help people.” It was such a lame answer you had to stuff the rest of the sandwich into your mouth to stop yourself from groaning. After a few moments consideration Dr McGee just nodded then finished off her cup. She ate a surprisingly little for an expert in nutrition. You looked at the woman sitting across from you on this small table in the dining area, framed by the window full of stars behind her. Compared to Wonder Woman, Tina was slimmer but still athletic. She wasn’t as tall as the Amazon but only by a narrow margin, and her sharper features gave her a more severe look at times. Deadly sexy at others. It was the full, almost pouty lips, you guessed.

“Got another load for me?” she blurted without thinking, but she covered those inherently kissable lips with her cup of coffee.

“I guess so,” you replied. “Are you sure we don’t need to save anything in case Wonder Woman…” you trailed off.

“I’m keeping track of her vitals,” Tina said, standing then revealing a palm sized device from her pocket. She swiped and studied the screen. “She should be good until tonight.”

As you followed the doctor back to the dosage room you saw some guardians were more than happy to clean up the dining table after you.
