Monica and I go back downstairs and head to the kitchen. Nick and Katy are already.

Monica says, “Can you pour me a drink? A strong one?”

Nick stars to make her one, and Katy asks, “Did you just see the TV and the cameras?”

Monica finishes her first drink, “I’m not going to lie. I was really into the sex swing when I saw it, but I don’t know about some of this other stuff.”

More footsteps down the stair. Courtney, Zach and Phoebe enter the kitchen. Courtney takes control again, “It sounds like y’all have discovered some of the special features of the house. I know, it can seem like a little much. But I think once we become more comfortable with each other it’ll be no big deal. The house just adds a little something extra to make this week even more special.”

Courtney opens her arms wide to me, Monica, Phoebe and Joey. “Welcome to our annual get-together! We’re so glad y’all could join us. We’ve been doing this for ten years now! Each year has had its own special moments but I have a feeling this year is going to be the best. Number one: we have this amazing house, and a beautiful lake. Courtney responds, “Yeah the cameras. They are a feature of the house. We could have a Gentleman’s rule where we agree not to spy on people when they want privacy. But we have learned on other trips that some people really like to see their spouse pleasured by someone else. That answer does not comfort Monica. She looks at me nervously. I think she’ll come around. Especially if she starts sleeping with multiple people.

Nick raises his big arm and yells, “Let’s go get drunk on a boat!”
