Johnny Smith, secretly a mutant

Johnny Smith was an average guy, or so he thought. He lived in a small town in New York where he had a simple life, even if he wanted more. He had just started his first year of college at the local Community College and was feeling a bit... separated from the rest of the students. You see he had a secret, he was a mutant.

Mutants you see have been a hot topic all over the world as the number of them that were seeming to become more public had increased in the past few years. Johnny's problem was that his power was one that people feared. If someone met Johnny eye to eye he could in a sense control them. He had accidentally did it once to a teacher when arguing a grade and was almost caught and so he had decided to not use his power ever, even if he was tempted to. And trust me there were plenty of times he was tempted. It wasn't until one day when his life was turned upside down.

Johnny had left his house like any day but something was off today. He felt like someone was watching him. He looked around but this early in the morning there was nobody around. Johnny decided to shrug it off and head to class. That day was the first day of a literature class that had caught his attention when picking the semester classes.

The second he walked into the room the feeling of being watched seemed to increase. There were only five people in the room. A guy and a girl had seen around campus who seemed nearly inseparable any time he noticed them, a jock looking guy who probably only in this class to stay o his scholarship, and two girls he had never seen before. One was a redhead who was dressed in a red outfit with a matching coat that did little to hide her curves. The other girl had black hair and was dressed in an outfit that Johnny best would describe as a cross between goth and steampunk. She was defiantly trying to draw a bit of attention and she had his.

Both new girls seemed to take notice of Johnny as he walked in and took a seat in the back of the room. He tried not to look at them but they were both beautiful. This made the class very difficult to focus on. Luckily the subject of the first class was an author he was quite familiar with so he was able to keep up. He was so flustered by the time class had let out he almost forgot his book bag. When he went to get it he noticed a not with it.

_I Know who you are and want to talk. Meet me in room 133 in an hour. _The note read. Johnny was confused and a bit nervous. He hadn't shown his power but somehow someone knew he was a mutant. He had to face whoever his was. He might even have to use his power on them to keep them quiet if things didn't go well.

Johnny spent the hour going over different possibilities of what was going to happen when he got to the room. When he got to the room the he could see the light was on inside so he opened the door.
