Jasmine: Get the Book

Jasmine reaches forward and takes the book in hand. It feels warm, as though it had been resting by a fireplace. A tingle runs up her hand as she holds it, filling her with energy.

"The Dragon Bone Book," Feng grins, "makes the words thou writes 'pon its pages become truth in the mind of the reader!!"

"Oh, cool! Wait," Jasmine stops herself moments from opening the tome, "What if I read it? Then I'll get all messed up!"

"No, foolish one! As it is thy power, thou art excluded from its effects. Any words written 'pon its pages are understood perfectly by the reader to thy intent and treated thus as absolute fact." The book opens, its pearlescent blank pages gleaming with untold potential.

"Bo-oring! What a shit power! I can sucker nerds into thinking that the sky is red or something? Go back, go back!"

Feng groaned. "Thou can make anyone who reads a note written here change their behaviour entirely. Anything they read in this book becomes all but impossible to deny, with even the flimsiest explanation."

"Ohh," Jasmine nodded knowingly. "So, I could write down that no one should wear pants because, like, it's rude or something. Everyone who reads it will take off their pants and never wear them again and everyone will be fine with that. That could be cool ... "

"Precisely. 'Tis the power to control the thoughts of the masses with mere words. Dost thou wish for the Dragon Bone Book, then?"
