Head for the safehouse

Rosa moves carefully to the edge of the hilltop, it had taken her a great deal of time to reach the safehouse. She moved carefully, making sure to double back from time to time to make sure that the guy wasn’t following her.

She wasn’t sure how badly she had hurt his knee, but she had no interest in finding out. She figured he couldn't have gotten out in front of her thought.

The safe house had windows all around it, but it was difficult to see inside. Rosa patiently waited to see if there was movement inside, sound, or anything.

I’ve got some extra supplies from that psycho, but maybe he got them in there? Could there be more?

She double checks his map. As far as she could tell there were no markers on it. It must not be trapped, but she wasn’t sure if the other guys were playing along with this guys’ little plan. Rosa decides to chance it.

I took that guy out of my way ok, plus this climb was a pain in the ass. No way guys are going to be waiting up here.

Rosa creeps across the open ground and peeks into the safehouse. It was just one room with no one inside. The door is unlocked.

Rosa moves in quietly and shuts the door behind her.

No lock. Shit. I’ll have to keep moving.

Rosa scans the room to see if there is anything she can grab. There’s a small cabinet against one wall. Rosa opens it, but it’s disappointingly stocked. Just some pop top cans of food and a canteen. Maybe enough for a day or two. There’s a large water container in the cabinet. It was mounted inside and not portable, but it was thankfully full. But that should hopefully be enough to get her to the next safe house.

No clothes, but the bastards made sure to stock it with sex toys and lube. Rosa thought with disgust.

She pushes the food into her pack and then sets it on the bed. She takes a second to collect her self and review the map, but she notices a trap door in the floor. There’s a ring on it, but it’s too heavy for Rosa to lift.

There’s a crossbeam above it, and I have a length of rope…

Should she try the hatch, or just keep moving?
