Have an imaginary conversation

The servant boy scream was loud, DEBUG_HERO had nothing to do but sigh and listen to the footsteps on the otherside of the door in front of her, the door to the barracks. "Go find something to do kid" She said to the cook's aid, dismissing to horrified teenager.

The door opened and Roland and another guard were behind it, both men stopped startled, Roland probably due to the surprise of seeing her outside of her cell, and the other one with added horror of what it meant. "Hey boys" DEBUG_HERO waved, smiling, the hallucination of the pale elf to her side giggled.

The other guard ran back into the barracks, probably to get his gear. Both he and Roland were only dressed in basic garb but not in gear, nobody ever expects a real emergency. "Are you going to betray him and the guard or me?" DEBUG_HERO asked the young guard "Being a bystander is not an option" she added.

"I.. I-" He started to answer but was caught off by the other guard shoving a sword into his hand, Roland looked at the weapon, then at DEBUG_HERO. She sighed, of course she shouldn't trust anyone so quickly.

With a wave goodbye she jolted, smashing through the door to the inner courtyard and making a rapid pace towards the walls. She was almost blinded by the bright sunlight outside, it was a very pretty and clear day. "While I like you being spontaneous, we do need to know where to go" Said the hallucination, she was sitting on a box by the stairs, DEBUG_HERO ignored her and continued running up.

"There are three guards up ahead" the figment said, this time sitting a top the wall fortifications as DEBUG_HERO sped by her. Annoyingly, the hallucination said it while looking at her nails.

As predicted by the pale elf, there were three guards sharing a waterskin atop the wall, probably wine DEBUG_HERO thought. Without waiting for them to notice her DEBUG_HERO slid down while running swiping the guards off their feet, they fell with surprised looks.

Her side hurt, but she ignored the pain, as she rounded the corner of the next guard tower, the hallucination was leaning against the wall, eating an apple of all things. "My pretty, where's my master planner?" She taunted.

"Fine, you win" DEBUG_HERO finally stopped, looking around her. It was the same Citadel as usual, the Royal Palace in the keep surrounded by thick walls. She was above the inner bailey, on the walls overlooking the bay, from below she heard the sound of waves crushing on the cliffs. The Royal Citadel was built on a unique cliff structure, the famous landing site of the first humans as Ariemat, chief of the Dragon gods brought DEBUG_HERO's people and named her direct ancestors the leaders of the humans. But that was completely irrelevant she figured.

"So we have the guard barracks in the direction we came from" DEBUG_HERO noted, the hallucination nodded in agreement. "There were the three we already passed on wall patrol, that might be here every second, apart from them we have the guards at the gates, lookouts and those on call or free time", the white haired elf agreed with that too, she was a very unhelpful hallucination.

"But bigger than that, where do I go afterwards?" she said, she had no allies, she had no idea if her father was dead or alive, if alive where was he? She tried to think of any lords that might be supportive of her, at least to give her a basic place to stay.

"You can come to me" the hallucination said. DEBUG_HERO looked at her, eye brow raised.

"You want me to come to a place where my imaginary friend lives?" DEBUG_HERO asked, ignoring the startled guard who came across the corner and saw a naked young woman with golden hair speaking with a wall.

"Darling, I'm not an hallucination, more of a projection really" the elf said. DEBUG_HERO was annoyed, was she really that gullible to believe an hallucination clearly created when her mind broke after all that ****?

The guard slowly started to move towards her "Miss, are you okay? Do you need help?" he asked nervously.

"Not now, I'm having an argument with my imaginary friend" she shooed him, what in the Elven Queen's pussy was that nonsense, was that figment real? "So you're saying you're somewhere real?" she asked the woman again.

"Yes, not far from here actually, on the island of Bosham" The pale elf with the golden eyes said.

"Ha, that's just perfect" DEBUG_HERO laughed, "So now you're going to ask me to break you out of a mage prison?" she couldn't believe that it's exactly the fortune she suspected she'll have.

"Miss, you're not making sense" the guard said, he was a young man too, just like Roland, who was now rounding the other corner. Roland had tears in his eyes, they had anger, DEBUG_HERO guessed his brother was one of guards that visited her cell, otherwise he wouldn't have had this look of hatred and be clenching the sword as he had. Behind him there were several guards, all in armour and armed. 'Now that's my luck exactly' DEBUG_HERO thought. The guards immediately drew crossbows on her.

"Whore, you have one chance to surrender and then I order them to shoot" one of the guards said, it was the captain, a true prick even before the betrayal.

"If you get to the Tamari Slums by nightfall, I'm sure I will find someone to harbour you" The hallucination said behind DEBUG_HERO, "Or at least give you a place to bathe, you smell my darling". 'Dragons this woman was annoying' DEBUG_HERO thought.

"I will kill you if you don't surrender, I don't care if they want you alive, I'll deal with the consequences" the guard Captain yelled again.

She had to choose, her magical abilities were straining, she for certainty had a broken rib, nausea and a cold pain in her abdomen. There were guards on both sides, more than a dozen, most probably there will be more by the gates. She was on the wall with a a drop to the inner bailey in front of her and a huge cliff with jugged rocks behind her.

"Lovely" DEBUG_HERO said.
