Friends are supposed to share, right?

Xabar looks nervously back and forth between Hager and Monica. For once, he is at a loss for words.

Monica scrutinizes the two young men. "Don't I know you two?" she asks, suspiciously. She looks at Hager and says, "You're that twat who threw up all over my stuff, aren't you?"

Without waiting for an answer, her eyes turn to Xabar. "And you're that creepy guy who's always trying to look up my skirt, arent' you?"

If the Elixir of Cupid is going to make a difference in Monica's attitude toward the guys, it hasn't happened yet. Her glare and accusing tone of voice suggest that she would much rather have encountered a scorpion in the hallway than the two fellow students.

Xabar finds his voice and says, "I'm sorry to interrupt, but we have something we need to discuss with you. It will only take a second. May we come in?"

Monica looks at them dubiously and then turns her eyes in the direction her male visitor exited. "Why can't you talk to me out here?"

Xabar follows her gaze down the hallway and is grateful there is no one there. This is going to be complicated enough without introducing a pissed boyfriend into the equation.

"I know it sounds strange, but if you'll just give us two minutes, we'll be out of your hair," says Xabar in his most reassuring voice.

Monica appears to be on the verge of slamming the door in their faces, when she has an abrupt change of heart. "OK... two minutes," she says, turning on her heels and walking back into her room. "Not a minute more."

Xabar steps toward the door, but Hager stops him, and says, "Wait... You forgot to put the elixir on me. You need to do that before I go in there, and by the way... what's the idea with you coming along? I thought this was all about my chance to hook up with Monica."

Xabar places a reassuring hand on his friend's shoulder. "Hager, we've been best friends since forever, right? And you know how best friends share things? We drink out of the same bottle... We wear each other's clothes... We share each other's class notes...."

Hager raises a suspicious eyebrow. "So?"

"So... it looks like there's something else we're about to share." Xabar pulls the broken bottle out of his shirt. As Hager looks at it, realization dawns on his face. "You mean that you --?"

"Not just me, Bro," says Xabar, moving his hand from his friend's shoulder to the middle of his back. "We both took a full dose of the stuff."

"Yeah, but wait just a damn minute," demands Hager. "So you got some of the elixir on you? Big deal. Just stay out here. Surely I have enough on me to do the trick."

Xabar shakes his head, sadly. "I'm afraid it's too late, my friend. She's already been exposed to the effects of the elixir, and she got it from both of us. If I step away now, she'll never fully connect with either of us. I mean, truthfully, she would have a hard enough time restraining herself from me under ordinary circumstances, but now that this hot bod has been dosed with Elixir of Cupid? Well, she would go out of her mind and probably hurt herself if she just sees the menu and doesn't get a chance to sample the main course."

"Yeah, I could tell she could barely restrain herself, Xabar. I don't even think the stuff works; did you see the way she glared at both of us?"

"She's just playing hard to get. Besides, it takes a few seconds for the elixir to work its way fully into the subject. Once we get into an enclosed room, it will surely hit her full ****."

"Are you sure you didn't plan this all along?" asked Hager. "You're always getting in the way of girls I like."

"You wound me beyond words, Hager. You make it sound as if I take pleasure in the thought of that beautiful, voluptuous creature throwing herself at me! Why, the mere thought of having to endure her supple, perfectly-balanced breasts thrust against my face as she impales herself on my cock hasn't even crossed my mind! I'm only doing this for you, after all. Oh sure, I could walk away and have all hope for a future between the two of you evaporate faster than this elixir, but because I'm a true friend, I'm willing to sacrifice a little."

"What's love got to do with it? I'm sure you're much better suited to settling down than I am, so if that's what she wants, she's all yours. Besides, we both know that once you get married, I would be more than likely to make a move on your wife before too long, right? Well, this way we'll just get it over with now, and you won't have to stress about it later."

Hager looks doubtful, and he opens his mouth to protest, but at that moment, Monica returns to the door. Her demeanor has changed. No longer is she angry. Instead, her face looks flushed, and her voice sounds decidedly husky, as she says, "Well, boys.... What are you waiting for? Aren't you going to come in?"
