Fire in the dark

“Well I would think fire scares off most rats and beasties so I guess you win.” You say to the red and gold set. Taking a few moments to put the rest back in your pack you then set to work getting dressed. The bikini goes on easy enough, and as you expected looking at your reflection in the bracelet, you look 100% female in a bikini. Next you can't help but smile as you go for the jewelry. The shoes aren't really shoes it turns out, they are just anklets, the right just has a couple of strands that loop around your big toe making it look like you might be wearing sandals. Next you put on a band around your right thigh, that has a hook to hold the sword handle, 4 bracelets, 2 on each wrist, an armband for your upper right arm, and a pair of fine gold chain belts. Last you see the piercings and while you are sure you can't even do it, they seem to want you to use them and piercing yourself with the jewelry is very easy, but you would be lying if you said painless. They consist of a ruby and gold one for your navel that has an inch long gold chain hanging from it, a similar gem capped tongue stud, another gem capped stud you pierce your nose with on the left side, and last a pair of gold hoop earrings. As the last hoop pierces your ear you instantly feel a sort of cocoon of energy flow over you you are sure is the armor effect, and while the temperature in here doesn't change it seems more pleasant. “Bad ass.” You say strapping on your pack and holding the sword hilt just in case.

The tunnel at this point extends left or right with a narrow 8” wide ledge on either side of a roughly 4' wide channel of murky water and sludge. You have no idea how deep the water is, and you don't really want to find out. Strolling on in the dark, still using the effect of the spell to let you see in the dark, after a second hour you start to notice a strain on your eyes causing them to water a bit and sting. With the magic of the sword able to produce light you decide then to let the spell go and turn on the blade of the sword. It is a bit more creepy with the shadows cast by the sword, but the stinging in your eyes quickly subsides which is much better.
Just before the next hour passes you are shocked as you feel something grip your left leg stopping you in your tracks. Without even looking you swing the sword down to attack whatever has caught you, and in an instant your leg is free. Heading out in a dead sprint you round a corner of the seemingly endless sewer system. To your horror as your gaze rises from watching the floor in front of your feet you see a mass of rubbery black that now fills the entire corridor. “Oh fuck!” You yell as you see what grabbed you was one of a hundred or more tentacles of this massive creature, and you have just ran toward rather than away from the monster. Calling forth the thought of the magic of the tongue stud you unleash a flamethrower like gout of fire into the beast causing the central mass to retreat. From all sides it lashes out with thick rubbery tentacles to coil around all four of your limbs, threatening to rip you to pieces. With a second blast of flame your arm, thankfully immune to the fire, is freed and you cut your other arm loose as you hit the ground on your butt, the armor making it a surprisingly soft landing. A third gout of flame down your torso frees your legs. Suddenly a beak like protrusion lashes out only to taste the blade of your sword as you slash hard at the attacking beast. A spray of goo hisses as it hits your body and you realize while not harmed by turning the flame on yourself, it has heated you considerably. The creature finally recoils and you watch as the mass quickly retreats into the darkness. “Okay, not staying down here any longer.”

It would seem you can either follow the beast and try to finish it off, or follow an opposite wall to get as far away as possible.
