What happend on the dinner?
Dave Boon made an unexpected announcement
To Selina a moment was necessary for their three bodies to act and behave as they individually would, but eventually they managed to make it. Their three bodies began to put their clothes back with Rebekah holding the necklace, as they went for different routes, with Sabryna going to change her clothes for something more formal. Selina felt that Rebekah and Emily should do the same, but only Rebekah would normally do that. Emily, even if she wanted nice guys to look at her, couldn't endure a formal dress. So, while Sabryna and Rebekah were selecting their dresses, Emily picked some jeans, a yellow t-shirt and a blue blouse, which also has its formal touch.
Rebekah or Emily didn’t have time to inspect their new room in the hotel, but it seemed to be comfortable. It had a small kitchen, with a comfortable couch next to it with a nice TV. Rebekah was the only one to have her own room, as Scott and Emily shared one while Nicole and Daniel got the matrimonial one in the biggest room. By his side Ranger was resting close to the window in a place that Daniel prepared before.
A nice view mixed by the streets and the beach, unlike Sabryna’s penthouse which didn’t seem to allow a detailed view of the beach, but had a unique space to see the stars, the city and the sea.
Scott knew his sisters were going to take their time, so before they arrived he separate their bags on their rooms, yet he felt they were going to be late “Girls hurry up, Mom will begin to call anyt..”
It was weird for them to be sharing the bathroom, but even weirder how they interrupted him "We know! Just wait a bit!"
Scott was surprised, he thought that level of sync was only on TV shows or movies "Ok ok..."
Selina also realized that also, as they laughed.
Selina couldn’t avoid making Sabryna feel amused “Ohh dear brother only if you know…”
Dave thought his daughter said something to him "You said something honey? Didn't hear you from here" They forget their father from Sabryna was also there.
“Ohh nothing, just talking to O... Myself.”
"Oh I see... Sorry" He was waiting for his daughter to arrive from her room.
“I'm ready.” She walked out the room to make her father watch carefully their every step. She picked a green dress which was on her wallet but didn't remember to put it in there “(This might be Anna's doing)”
Anna was a maid in their house, who took care of Sabryna since they could remember, the closest person to a real mother. But given her other duties, Anna couldn’t have much time with Sabryna as she grew up.
Selina was more intrigued by their father's reaction, when they saw him "It's something wrong?" He has a melancholy expression.
“From all the dresses you have there.. You pick the one your mother was wearing when we met... It's just... I felt like I was in the past for a moment.. Don't mind me.”
Selina felt a bit sad and made an effort to not reflect on Rebekah or Emily as they were greeting their mother Nicole, who apparently didn't wait for them and came to see what took her children so long.
“You two look beautiful.. And you so handsome (maybe a little more work on your hair...)”
Scott looked apart trying to hide his embarrassment. Selina smiled.
Rebekah chose a deep blue dress with some green features, which allowed her chest to be a predominant factor. Nicole was wearing a black and very tight dress, which makes her curves to be more prominent. Unlike them both, Emily just picked a regular street blue blouse and jeans with a yellow t-shirt, while Scott was just wearing formal trousers, with a white t-shirt over it. Nicole didn't care what they picked, while they felt happy with it.
Dave knew this reaction of his could affect his daughter “You look just like her... I'm sorry honey.. I will keep my promise, once this event finishes, we will talk.”
"I know, even if we never talk about it, I know you are also in pain. I will wait" Selina said while smiling.
"Thank you" He hugged her, but immediately "We can't be here more time, we have to go" As they both began to walk away.
Something was wrong, Nicole felt that way as she saw her daughters oddly quiet "Something wrong girls?" She asked while they were on the elevator.
Emily responded "No, we just were thinking.. In stuff"
Nicole wasn't convinced that “You two are a bit weird, normally Emily would try to annoy Rebekah by all the makeup she is using..”
Rebekah sighed “Well we wanted to tell you this at the dinner, but when you were with Daniel at reception, we walked over the pool and... We began to talk... About.... Us.. We realized that this might be our last chance to enjoy something as a family, and that we need to make peace between both of us.”
Emily grabbed her sister’s hand,and continued “It's... true, I don't want our relationship to be based on my.... Jealousy towards her.”
Rebekah started to talk like she was feeling guilty “And I know I've been selfish and arrogant... A brat... Justlikethosetwo.”
Emily complains "Hey! I heard that!" She smiled.
Selina thought “(This sound more like Emily and Rebekah…)”
The elevator stopped, people were leaving and entering. Nicole and Scott were in silence processing this.
As the elevator began to go down again Nicole abruptly hugged her three children, pressing them against her soft chest "I just... Sob.. Don't know what to say... Sniff" She was feeling so sad but happy at the same time "I love you.. All of you" They three were hugging their mother also.
Scott wasn't sure if he should say something, probably he was going to ruin the moment...
Selina felt for the first time a motherly hug, even if Rebekah and Emily knew what it was like, Selina was feeling a real one, not a memory. A single tear dropped from their three bodies.
The multiple hug was something wonderful but must come to an end as the elevator stopped, they all left and greeted Daniel “Just in time. What took you all so long?”
Rebekah was the first to release the familiar hug "We were having a moment back there... It felt nice" She smiled at Daniel "Come, we must go to our table" She dragged him from the arm. He didn't expect her to be that familiar so soon. That made him happy.
Nicole was walking with Emily the same way, on a less precipitated rhythm. Scott was a bit ashamed of his sister's newfound bond, and open affection so he decided to walk on his own.
Selina made Emily say “You turtle head! Hurry up slowpoke” She directed to Scott who was astonished for Emily calling him by one of his childhood nicknames he hasn’t heard in a long time “(We might invite you to our party bro… Who knows what might happen... But we must prepare first)”
"You and your sister did something great today dear, I wish you could feel the same way I'm feeling about you right now"
Emily smiled but didn't say anything "(This night we will be waaaay closer... Mommy)" Selina was making her own plans for the event. She couldn't wait for Nicole to be among them.
"Here we are" Said Sabryna to her father when they got to their table as well.
The families were all doing the same, many people wanted to greet the father and daughter who just arrived. That always made Sabryna feel odd, but to Selina was different. She felt it was nice.
Her fears seem to be fading away, replaced by something else… They want to embrace all of it. Sabryna just smiled.
“Look, that's Dave Boon, the real boss where I work.” Daniel, like some of his coworkers, saw him enter the hall as he took a seat with his daughter. “He has always been a kind man, I've just talked with him once and he spoke with me like a friend. Wish you could know how great a guy he is…”
Selina on all of her bodies smirked “(We know more than you thought Daniel)”
He changed the topic “By the way, what happened with the necklace? I thought you would use it here.”
"It is right here" Rebekah said, showing her chest which they noticed had the golden chain which was sunk between her boobs. “Didn't feel like it matched that much with the dress, but didn't want to leave it in the room... So, it will remain here.”
Scott wasn't sure what was, but something was really odd with his sisters... He knew them too well to know that they couldn't change that much just in a few hours... He remembered watching Rebekah piss off Emily like she normally does before he left the hotel with Ranger. Then that necklace appeared again, and was capturing his attention... Again.
They changed the subject, but Scott couldn't think of anything else... He felt something was odd but didn't know what it was.
Dave knew all he did at his job was work and work, but he enjoyed his time at it. For him it was no excuse for leaving his daughter almost abandoned to her pain, he tried to explain why it was also important for him “... I always hope to be at my employees expectations, sometimes I wish to know what they think about me.”
Selina may not be only Sabryna, but was aware of how Dave felt about all "They must be aware of your intentions, I bet you always talk with them in a close way, like friends" She knew that was true.
He began to watch over all the tables, where many familiar faces were having a good time with their families “I always valued what even the most humble employee coul..” But suddenly he saw something “Nic..” Or rather someone.
"What? Didn't get that last part" His expression turned almost white pallid "Dad! Are you alright?" Selina was worried, he seemed to have seen a ghost among the people.
Selina reacted, making Rebekah and Emily look around for something that looked suspicious.
Scott asked "What's going on?"
Emily said "W-I don't know, suddenly I felt watched... You know, like someone is directly looking at you" Selina improvised a lie.
Rebekah confirmed “Me too…”
Dave realized the worried expression on Sabryna’s face "I'm sorry honey… I thought that I saw someone I haven't seen in a long time... We will talk about it later" Selina didn't push it.
"Sure..." Their father has many mysteries around.
The night proceeded as planned; Selina did her best effort to make some quality time with her both families. Then Dave walked in the center of the room, and with a microphone began to give a speech, greeting everyone for being there that night, also making sure to talk about how a company like his wouldn't work if none of them were there, doing their part on the company. That created a good atmosphere, everyone was having a good time. Then he began to personally greet some employees, and order that every table get a present. Some people open them to reveal a metallic medal with their names hand written on them. It was Dave's signature.
David was so proud, he felt like his work meant something to his boss. At least, that was what Selina deduced from his happy face. Nicole was also happy by his achievement. Then with a mischievous smile she whispered something to him. He blushed.
Selina was having an idea of what those words might be “(This is going to be fun)”
The speech was almost at his end " ... Basically, a family is what I hope all of you work to protect, to raise and love. But also... Never let go. Which leads me to my final words" He took his breath "But like all things, at least for me.. It must come to an end." He paused “For me it has been a long journey, with plenty of work if you ask me, but also adventures… Experiences” He closed his eyes and gathered his breath “So, I hope you all understand my decision... I will retire from my business life. From this moment, and with immediate effect, I will stop working as your boss. I have different plans for my future. That's all, thank you for your time. Enjoy the night.”
All the room was in a gelid silence. Then everyone began to talk and ask questions. The atmosphere felt more like a zoo at that moment.
Selina was perplexed on all of her bodies, Sabryna spoke when Dave came to their table “Dad? What is this?”
“Honey, you should go back to the suite, I know this is so sudden, but I’ve just opened Pandora's box… Let me deal with this, and we will have time to talk. Please… I don’t want you to be involved in this.”
Selina wasn't sure what to say, but she knew he was right, soon they were going to be surrounded by questions and microphones “S-Sure... I will go then. Excuse me.”
Daniel wasn’t sure what to think "That was weird" He didn't understand why his boss took that decision "Hope he knew what he is doing"
Selina thought as Sabryna was leaving the place silently "(We also hope so)" A moment of silence was in motion in Rebekah and Emily’s table.
Nicole thought that would be a good moment to leave "Well perhaps we should take our leave..." Everyone agreed on that.
As they were entering their room, Scott went to his dorm while watching his cellphone "Good night".
Nicole began to take away that formal dress to put on a more casual attire for her upcoming date with Daniel "Emily dear, could you help me to take off my dress?"
Then Selina saw an opportunity. They thought Dave would take a moment to explain himself to his daughter, so the thirst for more merging was returning "Sure thing mom" Rebekah smiled while letting Emily have the necklace as she put it around her neck.
Emily ran to her mother's room, closing the door. Scoot just entering his room, Daniel outside in the hall waiting for Nicole, it couldn't be a better moment. Selina wasn't only going to find out their mother's story soon, she was going to become her own mother! That makes her feel excited... She couldn't wait.
Nicole spoke to her daughter "Can you take the ... " Then Emily hugged her back and made the necklace to merge their bodies... Their life's...
...
"Dear? I know you are happy today, but this thing won't pull it out alone"
Selina was confused, they didn't merge at all! She needed to improvise “I-I'm sorry... I just wanted to hug you so much… (Has the necklace a limit or something?... No, we felt the same energy flowing over it to mom, but we felt that it was.. Repelish...)”
Selina hearded the door of the Sabryna and Dave suit get closed.
Dave felt better by leaving them for another time "Those vultures... Hope you never have to deal with them honey" Selina was walking over the room and sat on a couch.
Dave understood the message and entered his room to get a box. When he arrived at the living, Selina felt some kind of magnetism with that box, which wasn't an ordinary one.
"As I promised, we are going to talk" He said while sitting in front of her while putting the box between them "But first honey... And this is a serious question... If I told you magic is real, could you believe it?" He opened the box.
