“Motherfucker,” Luke swore. He turned and started to walk to the corner to pick up his keys.

“You guys go back to the strip club. I’ll see you there,” Dredd said to his crew. They nodded and left. “Who was she?” Dredd asked Luke as he followed the dealer. “She had some cojones.”

“I don’t know. A friend of Bill. He’s a regular at the Broken Drum but I don’t know his surname or where he lives…” Luke grumbled.

“But she told you about Rogers and how he was blackmailing Bill. So she is part of our conspiracy as far as the cops are concerned. And her friend took a black market X-change pill so he is culpable too. If she is smart she won’t go to the cops. Clearly she doesn’t give a shit about Rogers… and she’s smart enough to know that your suppliers will screw her if she goes to the cops. She wants to be like that dude in the firm. What was the line - I would say I am exactly like a ship carrying a cargo that will never reach any port. As long as I am alive, that ship will always be at sea, so to speak.”

“If she goes to the cops either my suppliers or Rogers cop friends will screw us…” Luke worries.

“She seemed smart. I think she’ll keep what she knows to herself. It’s the safest option for her and she knows it. Let’s agree on that and not start anything.” Dredd suggests. “Let sleeping dogs lie.”

Luke unhappy. “I think that’s a bad idea. I’m gonna find her and deal with her. Rogers ain’t the only dirty cop - there is Kelly and Golding that work with Rogers to collect protection money from local businesses. They’ll come sniffing around for Rogers. He probably told them he was going after me. I’ll asks her. I don’t want there to be any evidence and Bill and his bitch have too much evidence. On us. I can’t have that.”

“Nah. We can deal with Kelly and Golding if we need too… fucking around with Bill and his girlfriend is a bad idea. What do you want to do with Rogers?” Dredd asked, switching the subject. He was regretting getting involved with Luke on this. It was getting too messy and Luke seemed to want to keep escalating things.

“That was the most **** plus bimbo clone pill around. She’s stuck as a dumb, dyslexic, submissive nymphomaniac. They call it the Daddy pill.” He holds up a small bag. “She’ll imprint on the first guy who fucks her as her daddy…” Luke said.

“Seriously? Holy shit that’s crazy. Do you want her?” Dredd asks, eying the bag and then Luke, the wheels of his mind turning. Luke could disappear into his strip club along with Rogers…

“It would be fun. I never liked Roger’s and I think it will be fun breaking her into her new role. He was a pushy asshole. He deserves this. But if I kept her around things might be a bit suspicious. You take her. You have your stripclub. Just employ her there,” Luke picked up his keys.

“I can do that. Yeah Rogers was a scumbag. He’d use his badge to get free lap dances and was always to handsy with the girls. Rough too. And he was a racist prick. I’m not going to miss him but I am gonna enjoy being her daddy.” Dredd said.
