Who is the first constestant?

CHALLENGE MODE

A variation on the usual Bimbo or Billionaire formula. Rather then pure luck determining if a reward or punishment is received, it is instead determined by how well they do in various contests.

The Boxes are separated into separate Punishment and Reward section. Each round, the contestant must complete a challenge. If they succeed, they may select from the Reward Section, while a fail means they must select a Punishment.

These challenges can be as simple as trivia in the studio, or reality bending games that transport the player to anywhere in time and space. Furthermore, they can be as short as a minute, or long as a day. Difficulty can vary, though they must be actually possible to complete.

A player may quit if they have 3 or more rewards at one time and the number of punishments they have is not more than twice their reward count.

Challenges are broken into categories. Each round the player(s) must spin a wheel to determine it. On the first round only, they may choose to skip spinning and take Normal. The categories are:

  1. Normal: The player is given a regular challenge. If they pass they gain a reward. Fail and they get a punishment.
  2. Voters Choice: Two to Four challenges are presented and the audience gets to vote on which the contestant must do. These options can be of any category.
  3. Endurance: The player is given a temporary (but ****) punishment and a certain amount of time they need to live with it. At any point they can choose to surrender, and the punishment will be removed, but they fail. In most cases they are transported somewhere else for this. A variation also exists where the duration is for a certain number of rounds, and they must continue playing normally.
  4. Opponent: A random girl from somewhere in the world is brought in to be an opponent for the duration of the challenge. The player must beat them at this challenge to pass. This temporary opponent can't receive rewards, so as incentive to not lose, they will get three Punishments should they fail. Regardless, they will be sent back afterwards.
  5. Ranked Challenges: Most challenges are a simple pass/fail. However, ranked challenges have four different grades they can get based on their performance, which are:
  • Triumph: Player gets 2 rewards, or 1 guaranteed cash reward and the option to remove 1 punishment.
  • Pass: Player gets 1 reward.
  • Fail: Player gets 1 punishment.
  • Critical Fail: 1 punishment and the removal of a reward. If they have no rewards, they get a second punishment.

Other Rules

Double Down: A player has the chance to double down on a challenge, which will double the potential reward/failure of the challenge. They must state their intention to do so before the challenge is explained, though they may do so in the breif perieod of time between the catagory selection and challenge reveal. They may also not double down two rounds in a row.

Lifeline: A player is given one lifeline the first time they get a reward. They may spend it before a challenge to gain some benefit to make the challenge easier. Afterwards, it is lost, though some rewards allow it to be recharged.

Bankruptcy: Should a player open ten punishment boxes (even if some punishments were reversed) the game stops immediatly. They will then get one random punishment for good measure.

Wish Victory: The normal Oil Lamp (Wish) reward has been removed as an option. Instead, it is awarded automatically should a player have 7 rewards. Rewards that have been undone do not count towards this total.

Playing Dice: The Playing Dice box (which changes the game rules) exists in both the Rewards and Punishments categories. If opened as a reward, the rule changes will generally be more helpful than usual, while a punishment rule change will be more negative.

Undone Boxes: If a Punishment is undone, the box that it came from will be added back to the Punishment Board (though its contents will be changed). On the other hand, an undone Reward will be removed entirely.

Authors Note

Like normal Bimbo or Billionaire, there are many variations in rules of challenge mode, so feel free to use, ignore, or change any of these. The main purpose of this branch is to make a game that involves the contestants having to go through trials, which can be interpreted a thousand different ways.
