An Emergency Assembly

"All teachers and students in aged 18 or over, please report to the School Hall immediately for an emergency, compulsory assembly. Any eligible students who are present at school and caught skipping this assembly will be immediately expelled. Any staff who do not attend will be immediately fired. Thank you."

You noticed three things about that announcement that seemed odd to you. Firstly that wasn't the usual voice of the secretary that did the announcement. Nor was it the principal. It certainly wasn't the vice principal either since it was definitely a woman's voice and was one you didn't recognize at all. Maybe it was a new hire? And why only the senior year students? What sort of emergency could only involve the 18 year olds? And finally you could only wonder what this assembly could be for and why on earth it would have such a harsh punishment for not showing up? You need to have as many students as possible attend these things but nothing can be that important. And why the teachers too, was firing them for something like this even legal?

Needless to say if that expulsion threat was simply to get people to attend this assembly, it worked like a charm. All eligible students and teachers madly rushed out of their respective rooms, leaving classes empty and/or unattended instantly. You were among this group, wanting to avoid having the black mark of an expulsion on your permanent record, especially since you would all be graduating very soon. Due to this, pretty soon the school hall was completely filled with students, both male and female, and every teacher that the school had. Everyone was just sitting in a big, disorganized pile.

A big projection screen had been pulled down at the front of the hall, which usually only happens when power points and video was about to be played. Suddenly a side entrance opened, and out came two figures, both of which you recognized. The principal Mrs Hickni, a woman who despite her age maintained her slim figure, and the vice principal Mr. Deniko, a rather large, rather muscular man with a nice large beard who you just... just couldn't seem to pull your eyes off of. If only he wasn't married... wait why do you care?

Holding a microphone in her hands, the Mrs Hickni tapped on it a few times, in an attempt to get the student rabble's attention. "Attention students and staff. Thank you all for attending this sudden, Emergency Assembly. Well I mean you can't exactly have a not sudden emergency assembly can you, so I guess that sentence was redundant, making what I said a Tautology." She was a former English teacher, and just loved going on tangents about the language, so it seemed like she was acting normal for now. "But regardless, a recent issue has been bought to our attention thanks to the discoveries of a few students and teachers. As such, this assembly is here to address this."
