A book with no ID or barcode.

In the pile of books she had withdrawn a book and as she examined all the crevices no identification of what the book was was present. Not even the book title was present. Unusually the book was light despite being a thick leather book. She studied it noting the edges of the paper were gold trimmed and there were some pages that appeared to be loose. Opening the book she quickly fanned through it and felt the air in her lungs momentary gone as she was basked in the light breeze of the fanning of the book. Once she skimmed through the book and regained her breath she was perplexed by the emptiness of the book. Deducing it must be someones overly priced journal they purchased from the local craft store she walked the book over to her desk and tossed it in the Lost&found bin on a hunch that someone would be looking for the journal. Walking back to her cart, she shivered slightly once she returned to her cart.

Once she resumed her restocking task she wheeled her cart back over to her desk and took a seat down behind her desk. Tapping a few times on her hand held, a low ding emitted from her desktop computer and she put the handheld back down on the docking station. On the desktop monitor was all the books she had scanned as returns. Naturally she skimmed through the list to make sure all were linked to the person that checked them out. It was a rare occasion, but she would find glitches where books would be checked in, but not linked to a students account. It was then an unusual ISBN number caught her eye that hadn't been linked to a student account.

The unusual number sequence was 6-666-999-6969-69. She sort of let out a laugh at the number sequence and clicked on the ISBN to see what the book was. Once the book profile came up she both was humored by the books title and perplexed by the lack of information. The profile looked as so.
