21. It’s safe to walk the halls

Hearing nothing, Malene opens the door as quietly as possible. Peeking through the crack, she sees the hall is empty.

She darts out and hides herself briefly in an alcove. The lights are unlit, giving her the advantage of the cover of darkness. She knows she can blend in easily and hide herself. Now the question was how to leave this strange place.
