11. She takes a wild guess

With nothing to guide her, Malene takes a wild guess and begins sneaking her way down the hall. The silence is uncanny, but luckily she barely makes a sound. She keeps to the wall, darting into each alcove she sees. There are no signs of life as far as she can tell.
