You wake up with a jump and a loud gasp, your heart beating like crazy, you feel like it's about to explode. Your naked body and the bed drenched in sweat. You grab your clothes scattered all over the wooden floor of your bedroom, carrying them towards your bathroom, where you take a quick bath to wash off the sweat. Now clean and clothed, you exit the room and close the door behind you. Just in time for the morning hug!

You brace yourself for the impact, but... nothing happens... this is strange, Mathilda is usually the early bird, you glance towards her bedroom door... closed... she must be really mad... But, actually... you don't know if you could look at her eyes so soon after that awful dream, it might be better if she stood inside her room for now.

As you walk towards the main door you start to wonder if it is a good idea to leave the two girls alone in the house... you sigh deeply, you really are not in the mood to think about that sort of stuff right now, you had to focus your mind on something else. Without looking back, you push the door open and step outside, walking towards the Adventurer's Guild's direction.

As you arrive at the tavern-looking building, you are surprised to see both Mr. Abel and Miss Agis close to the entrance. They seem to be having a heated argument, The elf girl towering Abel clenching her fists and trying to remain calm but firm as the little, fat goblin angrily bounced and yelled at her.

You wait until her attention starts diverging from the goblin and she finally notices you. You smile and respectfully motion her to get closer with a wave of your hand. She looks at you in confusion for a few seconds with her head slightly tilted to the side before walking off in the middle of the goblin's ranting. "W-where the fuck are you going? Agis!" You hear Abel's raspy voice yell as the elf gets closer to you.

"Speak. What do you want?" She coldly asks, crossing her arms and looking up at you. You can notice something was wrong with her, her face was still beautiful but it was flawed by some huge dark circles below her eyes and sunken cheeks that weren't there before, she looked like she wasn't getting enough food or sleep lately.

"Are you ok?" You worriedly ask, softly looking at her.

Her permanent, usual frown still plastered on her face. "Why are you asking?"

"I'm worried about you. That's all." You reply, seemingly catching her off guard, you swear you can see her tough expression soften at least a little bit.

"W-worried about me?" She says, one of her brows going up in a bit of confusion. "I... I'm just busy; that's all... Thanks for asking." Agis says and you think you can see a ghost of a smile briefly appear on her stoic features before quickly disappearing again. "Well, enough about that. I guess you are here for some work?"

"Yes ma'am!" You eagerly exclaim.

"Alright, I would send someone more important for this, but... The Guild isn't at its best moment, we don't have that many men available right now... so you will do."

"When gathering wood around the forest, you probably stumbled upon some kind of abandoned, small wooden cabin, right?" ...You did. Once. Since then you try to avoid that spot, that cabin gave you the creeps. You nod your head at Agis. "Ok, good. I got news for you, it isn't abandoned; a witch lives there, her name is Maggie." The elf notices your calm expression quivering a bit at the mention of the word 'witch' and rolls her eyes.

"She is the perfect example of the crazy hermit stereotype, but she is harmless. We pay her a sum of gold every month and she sends us healing potions and that sort of stuff through the weeks. Problem is, she hasn't been sending anything in a while. I want you to go to pay her a visit and see if she has got herself into any kind of trouble. Got it?"

Visiting a witch... That doesn't really sound like a very pleasant thing to do, but hey... it's your job, they are paying you for this. "Got it, you can count on me." You confidently say, determinedly smiling at her.

Agis silently looks at you up and down. "Look at that. All this time talking and you didn't even take a glance at my legs; Maybe you aren't that much of a perv after all." She says in a... teasing tone? Is Agis joking around with you? Looking at her face you notice that she was, indeed, smiling up at you. It was almost uncanny to see a smile on the serious elf's face. What the fuck is happening here?

"Well, that's all I can really aspire to, not being too much of a perv..." You awkwardly try to joke back, immediately berating yourself in your head for saying something stupid; but it surprisingly earns you a little giggle out of the girl.

"Be careful out there." She winks her eye at you as she walks back towards the goblin she was talking to earlier, who instantly resumes screaming at her as she gets closer.

You have no idea what just happened, but you got a warm, fuzzy feeling inside you right now.
