★《 Traditional Story Information 》★

Hello, that’s right, I’m not only creating a new story, I made a chapter to explain everything that it’s about. There are a few things I have to tell you, but this is mostly just the information from the original story, so I’m hoping it won’t take too long to explain (although there are a lot of changes, so I guess it could take a while).

Since I have been writing for months now on this site, I have slowly improved my writing with time. After Familiarity, I think I have reached a writing style I’m very comfortable with, and in my opinion it’s quite decent. I’m not a professional writer, my vocabulary is not the most impressive, but I do have a lot of passion, dedication, and perseverance to always improve my writing, and try my best to give my awesome readers a nice story to enjoy.

But as I said, I improved my writing a lot, and the original story had a ton of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and even formatting issues, which I’m hoping I can fix them all in this remastered version. I’m not saying that everything is going to be perfect, but I’m sure it will be much better than the original, and it’s going to be easier to read, so hopefully more enjoyable.

As you can see, the story has now customization, mainly because I didn’t know how it worked when I uploaded the original story. I learned about how to customize after a month of the original story, so I couldn’t bother to change all the names, since there were already almost 100 chapters written. But since I know it helps the immersion, you can now customize the names of every character (mainly the girls that you can date).

I’m also debating the use of game scores. I’m not sure everyone is going to use it, or even half of the readers, and I don’t want to make my story too complicated with variables. I know that stories without the game system perform better, and it would be nice to be able to duplicate every single chapter from one single choice, but I’m not sure if it would be the best. I fear that people won’t use it, because that happens with Lustyre, but I also know that Familiarity does great without a game system, but that’s because it is based on branches. I really don’t know yet if I should use it or not, please let me know.

Speaking of branches, I have to explain how this story is going to be structured. The original story was supposed to be a linear story, which would take the protagonist through all the major events, without any alternative branches, and only a few important choices. I had to use the game system to make that happen, so I can allow choices made in an earlier point of the story have significance in a later point (or at least without having to duplicate every chapter for every choice)

The structure was okay, I guess, it had its flaws, but it was enough for what I was planning. Of course, without any branches, and with all the ideas I had, this meant that the story would be about 4000 chapters long, or at least from my calculations. I’m sure I could have written all of that with time, but the problem was that I didn’t have any exact point to stop, any sort of organized structure to write for so I don’t burn out, and I ended up doing exactly that.

In Lustyre, my fantasy story, I separated the main story into chapters, and smaller acts, so I know I can just write an act at a time, and stop when I complete one. That was, and remains an excellent way for me to write, and it keeps my inspiration from the story, without the fear of burning out, since I only have to write for the story for one or two weeks a month, and then focus on other stories.

Of course, in the original story I couldn’t do that, but in this one I will, sort of. I can’t really separate this story in chapters, since it is supposed to be a slice of life story, describing the day to day life of a teenager, and I simply can’t assign any exact points for me to stop writing in this story. But I do have ways to organize myself, and I thought it would be nice to make a few changes to the structure of the story, so I hope you don’t mind (and if you don’t know which ones they are, I will explain them right now).

This story is a dating simulator / highschool experience, which takes you through all the aspects of what I consider a teenage life. This story is all about romance, friendships, relationships, and having sex with all sorts of girls. I’m sure you would like to see more of the latter, and trust me, I made sure to include a lot more sex in this remastered version, but it still takes a long time to get into all the juicy stuff. If you have read the original story, then you remember that it takes a while for things to heat up, and my stories are always slow burns, but I try to make them rewarding (and I think I have achieved that with this one).

These are the three huge aspects of this story:

1▪ » The first aspect is the introduction to a new city. There’s a new house, new life, new interactions with family, and a lot of world building, with some exposition for the backstory of the main characters. I don’t want to drag this out for too long, because I know it was rather dull in the original story, so here I’m just going to keep this for the first 20 chapters or so. There are not going to be any choices here, just a linear path, which takes you straight into the next aspect, and does continue with a bit of world building, but focuses on one setting only, which is...

2▪ » Highschool, of course. The second aspect of this story is all about experiencing a highschool life, which in reality is college, but with a few other changes, because the schools in this world are weird. I have created a strange setting for my characters to interact in, but I think it is unique, and I’m quite proud of it, so I won’t change anything about the highschool aspect. I did notice that it was very slow paced, and even boring at some points, so I’ll try not to write too many filler chapters, and just focus on major events in the school.

》[The school is just the setting for the characters to interact in, and that’s what I want to focus on in this aspect. I want the MC making friends, trying to become popular, playing around with those friends, doing all sorts of fun stuff around school, and just have a good time, not just focus on the classes. Actually, I really don’t want to write so much about how his classes are, or how his overall academic performance is. I do want to include some teachers, who probably will get their own branches, as the MC gets to have fun with them, but that’s more of the third and final aspect of this story, which is…

3▪ » The actual dating, yea, I know, crazy for a dating simulator. But even though this explains itself, I do have to mention some changes I’ve made for the dating aspect of this story. In the original Simple Life, I wanted the MC to date all of the girls he met, going one by one, until he may might eventually find his right one. I don’t want to do that anymore, because it will make the story an extremely long one, and in my timeline, it meant that his relationships would last a week, or two weeks max, since I needed the MC to date every girl in his life, and there were just too many of them.

》[So what I’ve decided to do is quite simple actually. After the introduction, and the highschool aspects are fully developed, the dating will begin, but you will have to choose which girl you want to date. I’m trying to give each girl an unique branch, so their relationship with the MC feels special, and not repetitive. You will basically get at least two options to date girls, and after you are done dating one of them, you get to choose which other two you want to date, so it keeps things linear, and doesn’t create one off branches. I don’t know if that makes sense, but it will all still eventually take you to the final girl, which is the one the MC stays for the rest of his life.

》[I’m not sure if people want it this way, since this means that you can’t date every single girl, and can’t have an orgy with all of them, but it helps me make this story a lot shorter, and easier to work with. I don’t know what you think about this idea, let me know if you like this method, or if you just want the MC to date all the girls (again, check out the poll if you haven’t, there’s a question regarding this dating system).

So in summary, this is going to be an updated version of my original story, Simple Life, with improved writing, a different structure, and a few more features, which I’m hoping will bring more immersion to this dating / highschool experience I’m trying to create. I already wrote a ton of chapters for the original story, so now I have to rewrite them, and still change a ton of stuff.

I promise I will work a lot for this story, even though the chapter uploads are going to be low. I don’t think I can write so much for this one, specially with my other stories going on, but I will always try to take some time to update this story. I unfortunately can’t let anyone write for this story, since it wouldn’t make sense to add an alternative branch to a fully planned out linear story, but I think that could change with time.

Any of this could change, but I have a lot of inspiration for this story, and I just won’t let it die, so I know I am able to give you good content, or at least something that represents my ideas for this story in a way you can understand, and enjoy it as much as I do.
