The throne of Kadara

You awake slowly in your bed, the light of a candle flickering brings your room into view as you take in the first sights of your day. It is a marble bedroom, by no means modest in its design, cut deep into the mountain that comprises your home town and capital of your lands, Kadara. You sit up in your bed, resting your feet upon the cold stone floor, looking around at the luxurious enviroment that you call home. From the soft Tyrian furs lining your solid wooden bed, to the hand carved frescoes and mosiacs adorning the bleak white walls of your chambers you have grown up knowing nothing but luxury and authority your entire life. Your father, gods rest his soul, had been a fair and wise king to the people of these mountains and the surrounding lands. Unfortunately his role as monarch left little time for him to ensure your upbringing as a similar ruler and you were found to be an unkind and harsh heir as a child. Constantly abusing your authority for your own gain, you were known for your cruelty to your servants and any citizens who were unfortunate to fall in ill graces with you. Your father had passed several weeks ago, leaving you as the sole monarch of this kingdom, for better or for worse....
