The Stepford Initiative

A mysterious town decides to expand its population

Chapter 1 by DocBrown3 DocBrown3

Since its formation in 1972, the town of Stepford has a prime destination for couples and families seeking a new lease on life. A seemingly quaint town with friendly neighbors; affordable, high quality homes; low crime; and great schools and social clubs.

The key to Stepford's success is its strong emphasis on family values. The nuclear family is the foundation upon which Stepford is built. The local Men's Association has offered its services in helping educate and shape new residents with these values, especially women. Using a variety of tech at their disposal, the Men's Association has shaped and molded the female residents of their humble abode to the perfect embodiments of feminine, submissive bliss.

Gone are frumpy, shrewish, career obsessed absent wives and mothers, replaced by beautiful domestic goddesses who can cook, clean, and focus completely on their men and their children. The Stepford Wives never work outside the home and are completely devoted to their families, to a fault. The men of Stepford truly wear the pants-literally! The fashion of Stepford is that of the simpler 1950's and 60's, when men and women knew their place. Men wore suits, women wore dresses and skirts. Before feminism the hand of the founders to form a community where men could retain their power.

The town has a very 50's atmosphere to it, though occasionally infused with modern sensibilities and technology (namely in molding its female residents). The suburbs are well kept, the homes themselves are luxurious, and the facilities are extraordinary. The Stepford Wives have more than enough time to help keep all three well maintained, without careers to distract them.

However, as time has passed, the Men's Association has found that their prior branding hasn't inspired as many to come. Sure, they still inspired men in relationships with emasculating women to come, but they were not as prominent as their heyday during Second Wave feminism. Indeed, they found that the 21st Century brought new dynamics, new relationships, and their prior model had limitations. They were failing to attract many new couples, many of whom didn't fit the typical "mark" couple (straight, cis men and women) of Stepford.

As such, the Men's Association began a subtle advertising and media campaign to draw in more people to keep the town and its profitable operation going. Along with traditional venues (connections with ad agencies and judiciaries helped), the Men's Association also began scouring the internet. Their search extended beyond their previous audience of straight, cis men in romantic relationships with strong or powerful women. They were searching for anyone who was in any relationship who felt that they needed a change. They were still primarily looking for women, but an occasional gay male or non-binary couple didn't hurt.

This new outlook has been a boon, allowing people with a variety of backgrounds and relationships to come to town.

The following are some of those who found the new advertising and felt attracted to the new Stepford. Both the traditional and new audience are coming to have their deep desires and wishes come true....
