Episode 1: To Find a Path to Glory

It’s your feet that hurt most, drowning out the pain of your bruises and the aching of your muscles, the moment you sit down on your bed. It feels like you’ve trained the whole day because that is precisely what you have done. At least you finally managed to get acknowledged enough for your own room, as opposed to the filthy barracks you used to sleep in. While you rub your sore feet, your forbidden love, who has been following you since she saw you in the hallway, positioned herself in the door frame to continue her ranting.

„You just don’t understand, how difficult this is! How am I supposed to make progress in my studies like this?” Amelia’s steel blue eyes search to meet your gaze and hold firm.

Ever since she started learning magic under the magistrates your sister had come to vent her frustration on a regular basis. The lack of equipment, status and money, the entitled students and the magistrates looking down on her. Everything.

“Amelia”, you respond softly, “you’ll have to hold out just a bit more. It won’t be easy still, but once I’m a lieutenant …”

“Yes Tarian, I know.", she cuts you off. "But I’m being laughed at now. The magistrates won’t think highly of any of my work now unless it’s been written with real ink and not some stuff that I mix from whatever I can find in the forest. My studies fail now because I can’t get the right ingredients for potions or gems to help me focus my power. My problems are now!”

Under all that anger, it’s mainly bitterness that you hear.

Sorry for the temporary authors note, but here it is:

Currently there is only 1 event that is sexual content. This should change soon, but getting up the very basics of this game has been more of a challenge than I thought and thus delayed my writing process.

Currently there is a bit of content for every room and two "Weekly Events" (after exploring the castle. The kitchen, barracks and garden have 2 Events.) Find and explore the barracks twice and barring any bugs you should get the first, small sex scene.

If anyone feels inclined to, I'd appreciate any criticism or feedback, since this game/story still has many flaws and a lot of room to improve. Have fun playing and reading!
