For the Curious: Game Mechanics Explained

Hello, dear reader,

this is supposed to be an overview over how this game works and its mechanics. I don't like to start with explanation, thus I put it here, where it's optional to read. Without further ado, let's get into it:

Branching story:

You play as Tarian and with your choices, Tarian will grow. Every choice has consequences, some obvious, some not so much. However, I will try my very best to make choices more a question of "who do you want to play as", than about "what's the objectively strongest choice". We'll see how that goes.

(Not implemented) Pseudo-Rng:

I plan to make a Pseudo-Rng-Generator/Seed-Setting. This is because there will be a kind of "Map" in the first act of the game that can be explored. If you want the places you can visit to be random, then you can use this to manually enter a seed. The standard seed is simply "123456789".

Note: Due to a technicality it's not possible to set the seed and continue from chapter one. If you want to set a custom seed, you will need to remember the choice you want to make for the first chapter.

Promises:

In the game some chapters have "(promise)" in their title. A promise is a double edged sword. It's powerful to give a promise, new doors might open and relationships deepen. However the price of any promise is its responsibility. Any broken promise comes with its own set of consequences.
