Magical girl

Introduction:

Magical girl—it sounds like a cute and girlish term, but only those who have personally experienced monster attacks know—it's not a pleasant identity.

According to official information, magical girls use magic stones provided by alien sprites (Chubi) to transform and fight by converting positive human emotions. Furthermore, each chosen girl awakens her own unique magical abilities—fire, ice, flight, lightning, or even more powerful spatial and temporal manipulation.

Relying on these diverse abilities, the monsters from evil organizations are defeated or eliminated by the magical girls whenever they come to wreak havoc in the city.

However, the above description alone might not convey the danger posed by these monsters. So, let's talk about the girls' enemy—the evil organization:

The evil organization is an organization with extremely high destructive and aggressive tendencies towards human society. Its members are mostly aliens with various abilities similar to those of magical girls, and occasionally there are one or two twisted human traitors.

The monsters are cunning by nature, feeding on negative human emotions. They frequently enter cities using various means to inflict widespread and indiscriminate destruction, and human firearms are largely ineffective against them. Although they are always eventually driven away and eliminated by magical girls, the damage they cause to the city during the battles is immeasurable and irreversible.

In recent years, the frequency of the monsters' activities has increased, coupled with the impact of natural and man-made disasters, leading to a decline in positive emotions among people. These emotions have been replaced by the negative emotions that the monsters consider food. (If all the negative emotions are absorbed, will only positive emotions remain? If the magical girls don't have enough energy for battle and are also drained, won't they eventually become mere walking corpses, simply existing to survive? I seriously doubt this.)

Therefore, the magical girls, who also need to manage their real lives while fighting the monsters, are spending increasingly more time and energy, and there have even been casualties. But this is unavoidable—the cognitive filters inherent in the Philosopher's Stone, while limiting their positive influence on society, also play a crucial role in protecting the girls and those around them.

However, this protection is random: because you don't know if any of the people you know are magical girls. Furthermore, most monsters are indiscriminate in their destruction; they won't pay special attention to you or spare you just because you're associated with a magical girl.

And I happen to know an unlucky person who, along with those around her, has suffered varying degrees of "trouble" due to the indiscriminate attacks of these monsters.
