Hucow Virus

It is a few weeks since the outbreak.

It is sunday afternoon and Jake is watching his favorite show on TV when the program is suddenly interrupted by a news report.

A news reporter starts talking: "This just came in! It has just been made official that a virus known as 'Bovid-25' has broken out of a laboratory. It is still not much known about the ways of spreading, symptoms and course of the disease. Therefore the authorities advise people to stay calm and avoid unnecessary contacts. Unfortunately we can't say much else right so good luck everyone. Maybe this will be already over soon. We will keep you informed regularly. Make sure to inform yourself at your local authorities too."

Then the channel goes back to it's normal program.

Jake isn't sure what he should be thinking: "Is that really happening? Maybe it's just nothing. It has happened before and then there was panic for no reason and the virus barely spread at all. "

Still, Jake lost all motivation of making dinner and decides to order something instead and calls the local italian restaurant.

"One large margeritha and a soda please."

"Anything else?"

"No, that was all."

"Alright, we will be there in about 40 minutes."

He hangs up and sits down on the couch to go back to watching the TV program.

A bit later the ordered food arrives, Jake pays the delivery guy and eats the pizza.

After eating the pizza and watching more TV, he gets ready for bed and goes to sleep.

Tomorrow is monday and he has to get up early to work his shift as a cashier.

Jake wakes up as his alarm rings. He slowly sits up on his bed and takes a look at his phone. He got an E-Mail from his boss. It reads: "Important information for all employees: Safety measurements have been set in place to fight the outbreak. From now on all employees and customers have to wear masks. Employees also have to regularly disinfect their hands and limit their contact with both other employees and customers as much as possible. Together we can do this!"

Jake sighs, "Great, it's getting worse. At least I probably still have one mask laying around somewhere."

After using the bathroom and getting dressed, Jake makes some breakfast and outs on a news channel on the TV.

While eating his cereals he listens to the reporters: "… and the numbers of infected are growing fast all around the world now. We are now speaking to an official of the WHO and hope they can tells us some new details about the Bovid-25."

"Thank you. So far we still don't know many details about the illness but we do already know that it can spread through all body fluids. Therefore we recommend people to wear mask and avoid contact with others as much as possible. Wearing masks and washing and disinfecting your hands regularly is a something everyone can do to help stop the spread. We haven't been able to fully observe the illness progression so we cannot say much about that. It seems that the symptoms include headaches, chest pain and nausea. There are rumors about the virus affecting the physique and even so called 'transformations' but we couldn't confirm that yet and it's better not to believe such stories and stick to official reports."

"Thanks, Dr. Brown! And now to something else…"

And with that Jake is also done with his breakfast. He grabs his stuff and drives to work.

On his way he can see how the streets have become less full, although there are still relatively many people rushing to get to work.

He checks in at work and attends his job at the checkout of the supermarket. Everything goes as usual when suddenly something weird happens after scanning the items of one customer. The customer hands him the cash but it's wet. It's covered in milk? Jake wipes off the money and then immediately cleans his hands hands with disinfectant. He wants to look up at the customer but they are already gone.

After that, everything continues as any other day, aside from everyone wearing masks.

When shift is finally over, Jake uses the bathroom, grabs his stuff ready to leave. Now he just has to grab some groceries and is then ready to leave.

"Noodles, milk, yoghurt, cereals, toast, a couple cans of canned food, …" he thinks as he browses the aisles. When he is done he goes to the checkout and heads home.

At home Jake unloads his groceries and stores them away. He opens a can of soup into a pot and heats it up.

While waiting for his soup to cook Jake checks his phone and sees a message from his friend Mark.

It says "Yo check out this hot girl! Apparently this is what happens to infected."

Jake looks at the image and he sees a topless woman with horns, cow like ears and huge tits with milk dripping from her nipples. He's shocked but doesn't believe that it's real and replies "Yeah, that's obviously fake, like anyone believes that."

Mark replies "I swear it's true! A friend of mine sent me it!"

"sure"

Then he puts his phone away and gets his soup which is now done off the stove and pours it in a bowl.

With his bowl of soup he sits down on the couch and turns on the TV.

"Let's see if there is anything new about the current situation. … Hmm, more infected… that was to be expected, but nothing new aside from that."

He switches the channels and watches some shows till it gets late.

After brushing his teeth and taking a shower he goes to bed and falls asleep soon.

Jake's morning goes as usually and he eventually arrives at work. His shift goes on without any incident and after hours he is finally done and can leave.

Jake goes into the bathroom and to his surprise there is a woman and she is staring right at him.

He first thinks he went into the wrong bathroom but the urinals make it obvious this is the right bathroom so she must be mistaken.

But then he notices something about her. Something is peeking out between her long brunette hair. Are those horns? And just below those, are those cow ears?

He also can't help but notice her unusual large breasts and her shirt has wet spots about where her nipples are.

"So is it true? Is that what happens to people infected by Bovid-25? I can't believe it but she is right in front of. Oh right! Shit! She is infected! I should get out of here immediately!" Jake thinks.

But he also starts to notice something. There is something about her. Something is pulling him towards her, like an instinct, a desire. Jake is completely unaware that another side affect of the virus is also a strong aura of pheromones.

He shakes his head and takes a step backwards.
