Fina's Quest

Fina was running. Her legs hurt and her eyes brimmed with tears. She was only wearing a thin dress that barely covered more than her abdomen. Her small, firm breasts bounced softly with each step she was running. Kretchers, human-like creatures but with incredibly strong muscles, yellow glimmering eyes, and big pig-like ears, had plundered and destroyed her home village. She had been swift enough to escape from the Kretchers. But with each step she was running further away from the village, she became more scared. She’d never been so far away from home. And not knowing if the Kretchers were following her, made her young heart pound fast with fear. She didn’t know what to do or where to go without her parents. She had no idea how to survive. Everything she’d ever learned was how to collect firewood or some certain plants for making stew. And what would happen to her parents and all the people in the village? The Kretchers, it was told, would always captivate everybody they found and use all the females for breeding –

Suddenly she stumbled over a long root protruding from the ground and landed on all fours. “Ah!” she yelled in shock and slight pain. Taking a deep breath, she looked ahead, realizing that in front of her was a small creek. She crawled a few inches forward and gazed down into the shallow water. Though it was getting dark and the moon was already high up in the sky, she could still see her reflection in the water. “What now?” she whispered to herself.
