Danganronpa: Ultimate Hypno Hub

Located in Japan, Hope's Peak University serves as an exclusive upper-education facility for the young men and women identified by the government as Ultimates, recognized for the potential of ultimate talent in their field. From programmers to pop stars to mysterious individuals with abilities not officially reported, the students of this University are all on the fast track to become the movers and shakers in their fields, influencing individuals, corporations, and even governments. Indeed, the young men and women attending are considered the avatars of hope for the future by most of the world. At a school such as this, with an eccentric student body all gathered together, it would be ordinary to consider it a powder keg waiting for a match to plunge the world into chaos... Yet, that match has not yet arrived, and so, hope remains.

For some people, however, there are things more important than hope for humanity at large. For some people, the graduation of a particular Ultimate is a threat to be averted. For others, a gathering of Ultimates is an opportunity to exploit.

That's where you come in: you're the Ultimate Transfer Student, Tomo Tominaga. That doesn't sound like much of a special talent, but for you, maybe it is. As a young adult, without any apparent talent or any background to speak of, you were accepted into Hope's Peak University, permitted to transfer in and join the elites. The official line is that you won a lottery, leading some to refer to you as the "Ultimate Luck." Of course, you know luck has nothing to do with it. Strings were pulled in the shadows, and people were ****... perhaps by ****, perhaps by bribery, or perhaps by powers even beyond those methods. Somebody wants you in this class to make use of your real talent.

In truth, you are the Ultimate Hypnotist. Through your talent, you can control the minds of others. You've been transferred into this University because someone intends for you to use you powers on another Ultimate. Maybe there's a specific Ultimate they want out of the picture, or maybe any Ultimate will do.

However, this is your story. Although the creation of this talent was thanks to the organization backing you, kept secret until you were in place and ready to unleash it, the talent is yours to wield. This is where your story begins, and no Ultimate talent or shadowy organization will be able to stand in your way.

There are still many questions to be answered: What kind of person is Tomo Tominaga? Are you a man or a woman? What kind of mission are you on? Are you a **** tool dragged into this against your will, or a degenerate chomping at the bit to finally unleash your power? Are you a faithful and disciplined servant of your benefactors, or do you have your own goals in mind, your own dream to achieve? Maybe you're more interested in making another student into your own personal plaything, with no regard for the fallout? Or maybe the idea of a semester living at Hope's Peak sounds good to you, and you'll simply use your power to make your stay more comfortable? Maybe you'll even use hypnosis to improve someone else's life, instead?

Furthermore, "hypnosis" is a vague word. What kind of hypnosis do you wield? Is it powered by science or technology, by human psychology, by magic, or by forces beyond ordinary comprehension? Does it require a tool, conditions, or keywords? Does it take immediate effect, or does it slowly take root in its victim? Does it turn your victim into your unthinking human puppet, or only subtly alter their behavior? Is your victim aware of the effects, or not? Are the effects permanent or temporary?

Regardless, the power is yours. Going forward, show us who has your attention, then show us what you will do.
