Adventures in the Eternal Empire

Note: It appears that by attempting to give someone editor perms, I have accidentally triggered the review process early. On the off chance that this gets approved so early, please note that while you are free to explore what has been implemented, there is zero time-linked story content implemented, which means that once such content has been added, you should likely restart the game.

Please start this in Game Mode, it will not work properly without it. To do this, simply press the "Start Game" button in the score tab of the side panel. Please do this prior to character selection. Special thanks to Caesar25 for his system, as this game's system was largely inspired by the systems in his two stories, Jedi Special **** and Medieval Menace. There will be six total characters to choose from eventually, and I may not be the only writer, hence why this is set to both as gender. For now though, all characters available are female. If you wish to write a male player character as one of the six please see the "For Potential Writers" chapter.

This story takes place in my homebrew TTRPG world. For specifics about the world see the Lore chapter (may contain spoilers). Despite the availability of world lore, this story is designed in such a way such that said Lore is not needed prior to reading the story, and necessary lore will be introduced during the story. If you have any feedback or concerns about any chapter in the story, please leave it in that chapter's comments. Any suggestions for something to add can be added as a comment on any chapter - although should there be more than one author, please leave such comments on a chapter which was written by the author you wish to leave the suggestion to. Suggestions for one of the remaining characters to be built may be left on this chapter's comments. Any character which does not have a proper description, but rather a humorous blurb about them is yet to be written into existence.

If at any point you are unable to proceed, this means that you have accidentally broken one of the systems. Though I take the upmost effort to ensure that this does not happen, the dynamic nature of this story means that there may be points at which one of your values is too **** to gain from the intended mechanism. If this happens, please message me with:

• a link to the chapter where you encountered trouble
• the value of your special class statistic, along with your subclass for Cleric or Wizard
• which class you're playing

Once I have these three points of data, I'll proceed to start troubleshooting and implement a fix as soon as I can. Depending on the precise nature of the bug, I may need to message the person who is in charge of that class or ask you for additional information during the troubleshooting. The fastest fixes will be for pages I am solely responsible for. For fastest response, please title your message request "Bug Report: Adventures in the Eternal Empire."

Note: Due to the open world nature of this story, there will eventually be most if not all sex-related tags, depending on what the various game masters of this story write. Understand that what content you encounter near-entirely depends on the actions you take in game, and in cases of **** or potentially triggering content, a warning will be found either in the text or chapter title. Trigger warnings will be displayed in the form of TW: [trigger] after a chapter name. If we missed a serious trigger, please let me know. If it is my chapter I will make amends and if it belongs to another author, I will discuss with them to try to figure something out.

The world of Gaea is dominated by the Eternal Empire, a sprawling Roman-like empire which covers the vast majority of the known world's surface. Somewhere deep within it, far from the towering spire of its great city, lies a hidden threat yet to emerge. Around the world six individuals emerge as potential answers to this threat. The only question then, is which of these six you are.

We See the Holy Grail (paladin): Who will emerge to create this magnificent being? Will it be the overdeity of this world, or a mysterious interloper? (currently in holding, slot is in priority reserve for a specific author)

Delayed Blast Fireball (wizard) (future content): A bigender hermaphrodite, race unknown

Thurgilla Goldengut (rogue) (WIP): A dwarven woman in her early-60s (mid-20s in human years) (written courtesy of Caesar25), you were raised in Altheim but your thieving habits led you to flee and impose an exile on yourself. You now start exploring the other four capitals of the Empire, yet your unique citizenship status causes you to have diminished rights, as you must be tried as a dwarf should you find yourself in legal trouble; but this will either result in breaking your exile or making a journey faraway, unless the Emperor himself arbitrates your case. For now, you should avoid direct confrontation with the law.

Glory has Been Chasing You, but You have Always Been Faster (fighter): Who will rile up the crowds to laud this being's might? Will it be the overdeity of this world, or a mysterious interloper?

Cecillia da Vecci (cleric): A human woman from the independent city-state of Cyllian, you were raised as an acolyte in the Temple of the Gods. You have just completed your training as a cleric and are now embarking upon your wider journey. In this city-state, women are not permitted to own property and it is ruled by the Doge, randomly selected upon the **** of the previous Doge from amongst the men of the city.
