Chapter 1: The Hospital

John Doe opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was a flash of bright white light. It hurt.

Where am I? What happened?

He wondered. A few moments passed until his brain started to keep up. He remembered his birthday party. He was out in the backyard, playing some football/soccer with his friends as he got hit by the ball in the head. He must have blacked out.

Damn it. I'm gonna hear about this for ever.

Slowly he started realising what must have happened after. White light, a white roof, no voices around him. His over protective mother must have brought him to a hospital.

God damn it. Why would she do this. But wait, maybe it wasnt that bad. If I was knocked out the full way here, it might be something more serious than just a quick blow.

He sat up and confirmed his assumption that he was really in a hospital. He was not alone in this room. Next to him was a guy in his forties, but he was asleep. He reached out and pressed the button to call for a nurse.

A few minutes later he pressed it again, since noone arrived by then. It took the nurse a long time to arrive. Then finally the door opened.
