An ancient alien race have left behind an advanced technology that allows people to gain abilities. People randomly gain super abilities through a game like system. It has become illegal to be a superhero or vigilante since the Third World War, even though the powers seen since then are considerably weaker. Most of the abilities seen now are not very exciting and can be seen at times as detrimental or even embarrassing. However, this does not stop people from pursuing the path of a crime fighter. Even though illegal, there are those in authority who look the other way. And villainy is always illegal. What will the persons of these stories choose after they receive their birthday ‘gifts’? Be a crime fighter? A villain? An anonymous citizen? -----------------------------------------
