things start of nice and calm

As morning comes the team starts doing tests on the pit plants. Samora decides that since things are calm right now she will venture out and explore a bit, as per the rules she takes steve with her on this little walk.

"The pit plants are very interesting, they seem to have thousands of tiny tentacles that ooze a special acid which breaks up the material of the animal caught in the trap." Steven explains "it seems to be able to digest a piece of meat within a day...likely would take a human about three days to be fully digested."

"sounds dangerous to be near" Samora mutters.

"Actually the only danger seems to be the red orb, it seems to be a lure, hypnotising creatures and calling them into the pit...much like what was happening to our colleague last night." Steven says.

The conversation is interrupted by a sound.
