scream from camp

Samora immediately realizes that it is a scream, and it is coming from the camp. She runs off, with Steven running after her, and storms into the camp sight pistols at the ready, she finds Tamara and one of the male scientists trying to open one of the pit plants, the other male scientist is inspecting a bloodied guard.

"what happened here?!" Samora asks running over to the guard... he is ****

"big black beast.... it just charged out of no where and knocked the girl into the pit plant, then took a swipe at me....he took the hit" the scientist says looking at the guard that he is treating, "go help the others"

Samora and Steven run to the pit plants and help the others wrench open the pod, and find the female scientist covered in a swarm of tentacles, her clothing already falling off as it is dissolved by the acid... but strangely her skin seems to be unharmed.
