You get pulled into the astral sea
You see a nebulous void, and see a platform in the distance. Not knowing how else to proceed, you attempt to swim, and it somehow actually works. It takes about a minute or two to get the hang of the motion, but you manage to successfully make your way to the platform after about ten minutes.
