Chapter 10 by OccasionalReader OccasionalReader

What's next?

You see a mock courthouse

You arrive at a sort of mock courthouse: judge booth, witness stand, and opposing sides. Scant few chairs sit in the proverbial back of the courthouse; you suspect that audiences aren't common in this courthouse. You see, sitting in the judge booth, with a marvelous tapestry beneath, covering the front of the judge booth. The image displayed appears to be one of the cosmos, and the woman appears to be actively weaving it, pulling thread from a mysterious source and weaving it into the tapestry. "Ah, very good; you've arrived. Seems you're the subject and witness of today's trial, so why do you take a seat at the witness stand." Seems it wasn't a request; you comply. You wonder who the trial is between, only to see your deity Apollo arrive in the courthouse. A man strides in, and sees you. "So you decided you like a different deity more than me, did you? Were my teachings not good enough? Why do you seek to abandon the song of light?" "APOLLO! I WILL HAVE ORDER IN MY COURT! NOW SIT DOWN."

Apollo visually winces at the judge, taking a seat in the defender's seat. Normally at this stage you would wonder who the prosecution is, but given what just transpired, you know deep down in your heart who it is (the whole being whisked away at a statue certainly removes any claim to ignorance).
