You ask Kala about the coloured bands

"What do the coloured bands mean?" You inquire over the noise of the moped. You notice almost all of the islands inhabitants wearing a coloured band around their wrists or around their ankles as you race by them.

"The colours are used to differentiate different things. Green bands are used by locals and guests, blue for the working staff, and the red bands indicate that the wearer is someones kept ****." Kala calls back.

"I thought you said that you guys didn't enforce that law anymore?" You pull away in confusion.

"We don't. Not **** enslavement at least. Most of the red bands are guests who either willingly offered their servitude or who got into too much debt and choose to pay it off through time served." Kala informs back calmly, as if it was the most normal thing ever, which you guess it might be for her.

"Oh, okay..." You relax slightly. You're not sure why someone would willingly become a ****, but so long as it was consensual you guess it was okay, at least morally speaking.

"We're almost there now." Kayla yells back as she revs the moped towards a large, yet very traditional looking, building near the center of the island.
