"I'm umm offering a pledge of loyalty sir?" She saw the question on my face apparently before I needed to ask her why and offered an explanation. "It is customary for the highest ranking guards of each city and their immediate subordinates to offer and oath to the ruler of the nation when they are announced, the color of your crest shows that's now you and since I was one of the 6 highest ranked officers after Von Tharlksite."

"Yea, no. you don't need you to do that. Limira you're one of very few people I actually like on this planet so far I'd like you to relax around me if you can. I consider you a friend and you've been of great help to me learning things here and answering my questions when they arise. So will you please forget about the oaths and things like that, at the very least when its just us?"

If there was anyone happier I dont think I'd have even noticed them after seeing the smile on her face as she stood up and a moment later she had me laughing right out of my chair as her expression changed to thinking, then mischief and finally smiling again. "But Great. Honored. Rogath. Sir..." she said with each step closer before sitting on my lap.
