Chapter 16 by hambo hambo

Does Hilda tell her the truth?

Yes, something about Milly puts Hilda at ease.

"N-no," Hilda says, "I fell in the stream and nearly drowned."

"What, that?" Milly asked incredulously as she looked over at the little stream. "But it's tiny!"

Hilda's face went red. Being bested by such a small obstacle was definitely a low point of her career. "I-its more dangerous than it looks!" Hilda shot back defensively.

"Well, no matter. You're alive and safe now, that's what's important," Milly said, deciding to humor Hilda. "I'm Milly, a traveling merchant. Who are you?"

"H-Hilda," said the embarrassed panty-clad woman, although something about Milly was putting her at ease. "I'm a knight of the realm."

"Is that so?" Milly said, amazed by her good fortune. Looks like I've struck gold. "Are your lands near here?"

"Yes, I have a keep a few miles up the road," Hilda said, the collar around her neck glowing faintly.

"Excellent! Why don't we head there, and you can tell me all about your stuff, er yourself," Milly said, the dollar signs already flashing before her eyes.

Hilda felt a pleasurable shiver run down her spine, as the feminine voice from her dreams spoke to her. "Yes, you like Milly. You should do what she says."

"Sure," said Hilda. "You'll be my guest."

I'll be more than that, thought the conniving merchant.
