Although not certain, you felt as if you had reached nirvana. Nothing concerned you anymore. Not the fire cleansing your sinful thoughts, or the depiction of a pair of guys in a passionate and loving kiss.

Okay, maybe the last one worried you a bit.

Slowly returning to yourself through the wholesome power of Yaoi, you took a better look at the card you had drawn which would define your next life.

One of them dark-haired with an aura of mystery about him, deep and inscrutable. The other was a blond possessing an untarnished innocence, bringing his light to illuminate and lay bare even the emotions you most wanted to keep hidden or restrained.

"Hmm, I wonder which one you will be, if any, of the pair. So many varieties. One of these last incarnations of yours was a ... fujoshi." Her face was visibly disgusted as she almost spat out the word.

"Sitting inside reading manga all day. Not doing anything worthwhile. What's so great about 2D boys anyway when you could go out and meet real ones! You'll be able to draw on some of her knowledge and experience so you aren't entirely lost when you get... Actually I'll leave that for you to discover."

How was the experience of a BL-loving fangirl meant to help you in a Yaoi high school world where - oh no...

"No, no, wait, I'm not gay!" you shouted.

"Don't worry, you soon will be. The cards have spoken."

There was something dangerous about her impish smirk, making you instinctively flinch as she reached for the next card knowing better than to question or ask what she meant.
