Writer's Notes- Update 4/28/2025

What a ride life is, huh?

Hey folks. It's been six years since I last wrote here, six years that casually included a global pandemic, quitting my job, getting rehired at my job, finally moving out, my longest ever relationship both starting and ending, several health scares, finally understanding and coming out with my gender identity (my name's Naomi now, she/her~), and probably a number of other things that I can't properly summarize here.

So why am I bothering to post some notes now? Break the silence? No clue, honestly. I've been thinking about this story a lot recently, and I'd like to revisit it, but I don't know if I can. I'm going to need some time to reread chapters, see if I still vibe with the writing style and tone, and if everything still makes sense after that? We'll see. I think I have a ton of old messages I can lazily transcribe over if I need a warmup- or maybe that'll be it for new content on this story.

If I don't get started writing here, I probably will start up a new story that's pretty similar in narrative, just with a more cohesive setting and a tone that better reflects my current writing style (whatever that is). The idea of starting something new is a little intoxicating, to be honest.
