World of Darkness

The classic gothic horror roleplaying game. Or rather, "settings" - the 'old' and 'new' World of Darkness (a.k.a. "Chronicles of Darkness") have significant differences. However, what they have in common is the basic premise: vampires, werewolves, ghosts, sorcerers, and other supernatural beings actually exist and secretly stalk the nights of our modern world.

Probably the best known is "Vampire: the Masquerade", which has gotten several high-profile video game adaptations. However, it's far from limited to vampires. By this point, pretty much every major stereotypical horror movie monster has appeared in some form or another, most likely one that's intended to be usable by players. Not only vampires, but werewolves, wizards, faeries/changelings, frankenstein's monsters/golems, mummies, demons, and the monster hunters seeking to kill the aforementioned creatures are playable options.

And there is at least one vignette in the rulebooks involving each and every one of these categories of beings getting laid. Because this is a mature tabletop RPG, you see. Maturity means lots of content involving sex. And other things like cannibalism, ****, ****, etc. The preoccupation with these 'mature' themes has made the writers, White Wolf/Onyx Path, something of a punchline among tabletop RPG fans, but their fictional universes are no less popular for it.

So, which of these things do you want to see "go bump in the night"?

What's next?
