World War 3

When we got there it made last night's hostage siege at the corner shop look like a kiddies bouncy castle party. The air was shattered by gunshots. Only one squad car was present, a uniform was down and bleeding out through a shot to his leg. His partner was trying to drag him out of the line of fire, but it was almost impossible. As shots were coming from all angles and they were caught in the crossfire. As we drew to a halt, a shot blew out our tyre. "Fuck!" I screamed, pulling my hand hastily out wet from under Detective Medina's skirt. I ducked down behind the dash. Medina threw the car into reverse and we backed out of there round the corner faster than we arrived, our burst front tyre flapping crazily on the tarmac.

"Shit! What the fuck is going on?" I squealed panicked. There was no way I could make myself heard enough to get these fuckers to surrender easily.

"Turf war!" shouted Medina.

Fuck! I could hear sirens in the distance. Before long this was going to be armageddon and there was no way anyone was going to hear me. I had to act fast. Maybe I should just get the fuck out of there. Go home, Fuck the gorgeous but diminutive Detective Medina, with her tiny tits and all and forget about it. I glanced briefly at the latina beauty beside me and gave it some serious consideration.

I got out of the car.

I carefully followed the edge of the apartment block till I got to the corner around which World War 3 was being played out. Without sticking my head round the corner to get it blown off I yelled, "This is Rick!" at the top of my voice "Please stop shooting!"

Not everyone heard, but a few did and that was enough to lessen the noise level a little. I yelled the same message and all but a few of the shooters stopped. One last time and the whole thing came to a standstill.

"This is Rick!" I repeated. "I'm coming round the corner. Don't shoot me please!"

Unable to believe what I was doing, I walked round with as much bravado as I could muster. Yes, I thought, I've got this. I am going to march in here, and fucking own this situation! And if there are any women involved, fuck them. As I pictured this scenario a gang member ran out of a doorway and punched me in the face.
