Twinsies

"I wish Buffy and Faith were twin sisters and both became slayers at the same time."

Cordelia took a second as things changed. History warping in several ways while remaining the same in others. No surprise but the slayer spirit being split into twins was a new thing. The Watchers were really excited about that.

Most surpring to her was that Faith wasnt Faith. Or at least. Not the Faith she knew. She was still a tomboy, still pushing peoples buttons, still confrontational. But at the same time calmer and happier. Less likely to take offense at something. Certainly less traumatized. Probably the benefits of having a mom who gave a damn in Joyce Summers.

And also her original watcher was still alive. Diana Dormer was still Faith's 1st watcher in this world. Never having been killed by Kakistos who was still somewhere on the wast coast. Diana and Giles worked together, while Giles covered the school Diana ran the local magic shop in Sunnydale.

Buffy was also a little different. Less weird about being the Slayer. Still stupid tho. Xander still had to save her life the first year she was here. Buffy, this time, ran off to face the Master alone, in order to keep Faith safe. She still ended up losing and half drowned in a tunnel somewhere underground. Only for Xander and Faith to come to her rescue and provide some CPR. Angel apparently hadnt been included in the rescue party in this world.

Cordelia did feel a little affronted on Xander's behalf. He did all the same things in this world, saved their lives several times and yet he didnt get anything from either Buffy or Faith. Both had him stuck in the friend zone.

"Wow. Just wow." She shrugged, still that worked in her favor. If Xander had ended up with Buffy or Faith she wouldn't have gotten with him.

"What else?" Cordelia asked herself, "What else changed?"

Not much it seemed. Things tended to end quicker, two vampire slayers meant twice the staking power, twice the vampires dusting. Still things were mostly the same. Kendra still showed up, the terracotta assassins showed up, Cordy started making out with Xander just like in her original world. Buffy still fucked things up by fucking Angel but less people died because Faith was there. They did the soul orb thingy and Buffy ran away for the summer.

"Oh cool, Miss Calendar is still alive." Cordelia perked up at that. "Good she and Giles were cute together."

"Oh poop." Cordelia noticed that Kendra still died, just like in her orignal world. Only no new slayer showed up after. Or did one and they just didnt know about it. Watchers liked to keep their secrets after all.

So was there or was there not a new Slayer out there in the world somewhere?
