Trusting Her Ex

It was hardly ideal, but if she had to tell someone then the least bad option, as far as Holly could think, was her ex, Jason. They had split up about six months ago. It had been her decision and he had not taken it well at the time. On the surface, she realised it would probably seem like a crazy decision for her to trust him with this much power over her, given their history. But she had her own reasons for thinking this might turn out okay.

While he had been a bit of a jerk to Holly immediately post break up, Jason had later apologised and seemed genuinely sorry. He had a new girlfriend now, and appeared to be very happy with her, so any feelings he'd had for Holly had hopefully gone. She also knew him well enough to feel confident he was a fundamentally decent guy who wasn't suddenly going to turn into a perverted maniac once given his power. And, above all, she didn't have a better option.

Holly decided to tell Jason by phone. There was nothing in the rules that said that wasn't valid, as far as she was aware, and if he was there in person to start changing her hair colour. he might get ideas about what else he could do to her.

"Fuck Holly, you're serious aren't you? This would be far too dumb a joke for you to play on me" Jason spoke in disbelief after Holly explained her situation to him.

"Yes, I'm serious and this is real" Holly confirmed.

"Okay, Sarah is actually working this evening, I'm going to come over to yours" Jason decided "You know, just to talk about this"

"There is nothing to even talk about" Holly pushed back quickly "And I can't anyway. I have plans for this evening"

"Holly, cancel your plans and wait there for me. We do need to discuss this"

She wasn't sure if that command had been intentional or not, but either way, Holly was going staying put and spending the evening with her ex boyfriend now.

"Okay, I'll wait" she answered anxiously "You're not planning to do anything to me with my curse, are you?"

"I'll see you in about twenty minutes" Jason answered, ominously avoiding the question "It'a about time we caught up anyway"
