Opening the chest you are surprised to find a pile of what appears to be about a thousand coins half of which are silver, the other half gold. Sitting on the pile of coins you also find a short sword in a simple leather sheath that has straps so you could wear it strapped to your leg where your throwing spikes are now. Pulling it from the sheath you get a flash of memory of you picking this up after killing a young lady some time ago after a short but violent fight. You also now know that it is magic, capable of bursting into flames that don't hurt the wielder. You also know that as the former you didn't typically fight with swords she was just hanging onto it till she needed the money and sold it. Clunking the chest closed you are not sure you want to lug all of that around as it seems heavy, but at least you know it is here if you need money. Looking around the room for any sign of clothing, you find none that would really fit you, but you do find his clothes and if you want you could probably make something work.
