Tracking them

You are following a trail that Rachel made. She must have torn off parts of her suit and left them for you to find. That, along with the broken branches, is more than enough to track their movements.

They seem to be traveling in more or less a straight line, further and further into the woods as the trees only get denser.

"This way" you whisper to Yasmin who is following shortly behind.

You continue following along the trail which does not deviate from being nearly perfectly straight until it reaches a clearing. Scattered around the trees along the mossy floor, you see small white specks.

"Wait," you tell Yasmin.

"What is it?" she asks.

"Just wait," you tell her.

You look around, there is no path through the clearing so they must have gone around. Looking around you cannot find any clue until.

"Got it," you say, moving off towards the north, and following the trail.

The trail now after wrapping around the clearing travels towards the ice-capped mountains. While going along the new direction, you notice the distant bone-chilling sound of their call.
