Waking up

You begin to drift back into consciousness, your limbs aching and sore, you try to move but are nearly unable to, they feel heavy almost like you have weights strapped to them.

"You're awake!" you hear Yasmin say.

You feel the ground shake slightly, as she runs over and she kneels next to you.

"You ran off," she scolds you, "you're lucky I found you."

The memories come back to you, Rachel! You try to pull yourself up, body aching. You feel her put a hand on your chest.

"You need to take it easy," she says.

"We need to rescue Rachel!" You push her hand aside.

She sighs, "I know, but you are in no condition to."

"Just give me something we have to." You half order, while half pleading.

She reaches into her pack, you know that she brought a medical kit.

"Fine" she looks in your eyes "I'm going to give you something for the pain; however, you cannot push yourself--"

"-- I know" you interrupt.

"No, I don't think you do," she explains.

"You pushed yourself too far back there, I don't fully know how you are changing, and it's also still going on." Yasmin monologues, her eyes are gazing at you worryingly. "You need to take it easier."

As she continues to explain, she injects something into your arm. A chill spreads from the site, washing the aching away as it diffuses.

"You ran some two and a half miles. It took me a while to even find you." She says, turning back around putting the injector back in the bag.

"That should help with the pain. But take it easy." Turning back around, she begins helping you off of the ground.

"Thank you," you say, turning to her.

You gather yourself, and your gear and head off with Yasmin towards where you saw them carry off Rachel.
